I think we give up Syria to Assad in exchange for Russia and china letting us deal with North Korea

As a version of you can judge the character of a person by the company he keeps, you can judge the sanity of a policy by the type of people who support it.

Hillary Clinton (even more so than Obama) and France's previous socialist president both had bugs up their butts about supporting ISIS renegades in order to get rid of Syria's president.

Hillary and Barack both were enablers to the Muslim Brotherhood that tried to take over Egypt.

In the infamous words of Hillary in knocking off another leader in the Middle East, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya: "We came, we saw, he died (chortle, chortle)."

Trump made damn good sense in the past when he observed that US-supported efforts to supposedly install better, nicer regimes in the Middle East have often have resulted in even worse leaders and even worse governments in that part of the world.

Finally some international policy sanity.

I know why Trump did that whole empty airfield bombing bullshit over there...he knew he had to meet with Putin in the next couple of months. Chest thumping was the order of the day for negotiations.

I have to wonder what we got in return.

I think they ran out of time and money to get Assad. Russia is in Syria to stay and so Assad isn't going anywhere.

so the U.S. and Israel have decided to back the Kurds 100 percent. Turkey won't have any of that and is going to attack the Kurds.

Qatar was originally wanting to back ISIS and FSA to get rid of Assad and run their pipeline through Syria to the E.U. Now they understand that is not going to happen so they had to make a deal with Iran, Syria and Turkey to run their gas in their pipeline when it is built.

That will cut Israel and Saudi Arabia out of the money and they are not happy. So Qatar, Turkey, Iran and Russia will be teaming up against Saudi Arabia, the U.S., UAE, Israel and the Kurds. The whole ballgame has changed.

Pipelines will be built through negotiations that benefit both parties. Not through false flag attacks and CIA-backed "rebels"

US won't necessarily team with Saudi, that contract is up. and thus the meeting between Russia and Trump of late.
Saudi will them unleash ISIS terrorism on the West.

As for Mattis' phone call to the Congresswoman who tried to tack an amendment onto the National Defense Authorization Act; he asked her to remove her amendment, we don't know why- but likely because he needed the bill to pass and didn't want it bogged down while our elected officials courted constituents with identity politics. He's on record multiple times espousing the importance of passing military budgets in a timely manner and the negative effect of not doing so. Do you have any reasoning capability whatsoever?

Someone must have authorized it. There must be some sort of paper trail. Want to bet that it has something to do with a charity, Zika or that hemorrhagic fever a few years back.

While closing all the bases in foreign countries sounds like it's in the US best interests on its surface those bases actually allow us to have resources at our disposal in a TSHTF scenario. They allow for options in the event US citizens need to evacuate a hostile situation & provide medical facilities more conveniently. Once those are given up they will not be regained without significant bloodshed.

A real salt mine there.

We can't doubt that possibility, but I wouldn't automatically assume that terrorism will come directly from SA. More likely that they would take the blame for it, while the acts themselves will be home grown.

This scenario would go far as an explanation for all the muzz being imported into the country. That being, insurance. To provide cover for the "get even" CIA FF terror attacks that could be their answer to Pres. Trump's doing the right thing.

He needs to lay it all out to the public, soon.

Meanwhile, their main excuse to pump the country full of muzz has been obliterated!
