How can anyone be struggling in this economy??
I have a great job and have recently received 2 other job offers that will pay me more than my current position. I'm hesitant to leave since I like the flexibility of my job at the moment.

I have $32k left on my mortgage on a house estimated at $245k. I'll be finished paying it off within the next 2 years. Property taxes are still a bear but paying the mortgage will be additional weight off my shoulders.

My car is fully paid for and I'm looking to trade in and upgrade in the fall. I'll be paying cash of course.

Let's talk crypto. I'm skeptical in the near short term but was lucky enough to invest in Bitcoin 4 years ago and have seen a huge ROI. I'm just holding now and waiting for the next show to drop before buying up more. DGB will pop within the next 2-5 years. Be in it.

I'm unmarried so don't have a nagging wife draining my assets like a leech. I don't have kids yet but would love to in the future. I'm currently dating an 8 at the moment. She's sort of lacking in the intellect category but she makes up for it in other ways. I ponder the thought of being with her permanently but the answer repeatedly comes back as "no". I'll wait till she get antsy with me and starts demanding marriage before I let her loose.

I've got the day off today..and although it's overcast and cool for a July day, I'm loving it. Reminds me of the Fall time..hiking weather. I'll be doing a lot of that this year as well as travel. Life is great.

because you aren't. logically it follows that if there are a given number (X) of persons that aren't economically struggling, then there will likely be a given number (~X) of persons that are struggling, simply due to laws of balance and counterbalance. the more resources you accrue means someone somewhere else has less resources available to them.

Despite the fact the economy sucks based on many metrics, I'm with OP wrt 'struggling' to make ends meet.

If you've had a steady job in the 30 to 40k range or more for a few decades, you should be debt free, including mortgage. You should have 6 months of wages saved as well.

Without a mortgage, your monthly economic footprint should be <= 2K.

The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur.

Because many people have health conditions (some being self inflicted) and university debt. Some are paying for the rehab of a loved one or a disabled relative.

Jesus Christ is the only way to Salvation.
1 Corinthians 1611 AV KJ Bible
Chapter 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Seems like OP is doing it right and enjoying the fruits of his labor to me. He does seem to brag a bit at times but what's worse? Pride or Envy?

Well, it must be pretty common as 1/2 the kids attending our public schools are on free and reduced lunches. If you have training you can get a decent job but if you don't, it's minimum wage all the way. You cannot live on minimum wage.
