if we truly believed that everyone should receive health care as a basic human right, there would be no need for government involvement. People would take care of each other regardless and see to it that everyone is attended to. The FACT that we allow other people (Who do not in anyway have our best interests in mind) to regulate our healthcare means that we as representatives of the human race are not serious about healthcare being a basic human right which we need to protect.

You need to forget about insurance. Insurance is for an unexpected event. Colonoscopies, mammograms, check-ups and birth control are not insurable events. There is no health insurance sold in the US now.
You need to think about cost. Why is it cheaper to fly to Japan and get an MRI than to get one down the street? If medical care were cheap, 1. people could afford it and 2. real insurance would be cheap.
Now ask, why doesn't the GOP focus on COST.

Insurance is a scam like the lottery a game for people that can't count.
