Anyone know how to stop alcohol withdrawal symptoms?

Drink a tall beer! you can't quit cold turkey.

A long, warm bath or shower can help.

Take some aspirin, too.

Sleep as much as you can.

Can't you think of it like a really bad hangover and just curl up in a fetal position on the bed with the covers over your head and drink lots of water for 24-48 hours?

The above advice about tapering off with beer is sound.

Make sure it's the cheapest, fizziest, supermarket own-brand shit you can buy, and drink it ice-cold.

Or just drink any typical American "Lite" beer.

Hire a chopper to drop you in Northern Canada about a 30 day hike to anywhere.

By the time you get out,,,you are cured or dead.

You don't want to go through the DTs, seriously.

If you can get it GHB or benzodiazepines. If you can't get either order some GBL. Its a precursor of GHB. They are both illegal though (GHB, GBL)

I just came off the booze. I drank one beer per hour for 2 or 3 days then quit. No side affects. I think the hard part after that is in your head. AA can help with that or find something to do that you really enjoy and do that instead of drinking.

you guys are retarded and none of you have been through real alcohol withdrawal! drink some tea? and smoke some weed? what the hell? if you drank caffeine or took one hit of marijuana, you'd be dead in seconds, no joke. If your going through alcohol withdrawal it is really important to eat a lot and to keep drinking more and more water, but not too much at once or you could pass out and have a seizure. Hot baths are essential, I'd take up to 10-15 warm baths a day, to wake your body up and the send the message to your body that you're not dead yet. And lastly surviving "real" alcohol withdrawal is really just luck, in other words, if you want to have a lesser chance of dieing, get medical attention once the effects start coming into play.

If you start seeing pink elephants and feel big spiders crawling all over your body then taper off more slowly.

you could try switching to weed... seriously it's way better than liquor, not addictive, and you won't want to drink when using it. At least that's how I quit drinking 'bout 9 years ago. I only had one relapse, had a few beers due to peer pressure (lol) 3 years ago and didn't like it or want anymore.

go detox in the hospital

or go do a petty crime and detox in jail

Embrace your alcoholism or just flatout quit. Some were never born to be unquantified drinkers. If its fucking up your life... Just stop. Brainwash yourself and don't pay for someone else to do it.

Valium is prescribed sometimes for alcohol withdrawal.

Ice cream and candy can help with cravings.

Maybe some folks at AA can give you some advice.
Some groups are pretty cool, some are douchebags, you have to look around and find one you like, if you do find one you like. It's not for everyone, in my opinion.

Do it slowly, very slowly, and weed can help ease the nausea (I used to smoke, not anymore).

I would also suggest strongly that you go to a full service Vitamin & Mineral store. You need to double up on vitamins right now.

Lots of water - lots and lots of water, till you feel like you will burst. Some antioxidant tea.

Try calling your local AA chapter and see if they have any suggestions. They helped my sis a lot.
