Maybe others in the UK saw this as well, last night on the BBC 2 News night programme host Jeremy Paxman pointed out to his programme guest (don’t know who he was) that the captured Brit soldiers had their weapons on them while sitting smoking cigs in the Iranian navy boat, both of them agreed that it was a very embarrassing picture for the British Government.
The picture showed the female captive sitting smoking in the boat with the others sitting beside her the camera zoomed in showing the male soldier sitting beside her holding his army weapon which was clearly visible, there was an Iranian flag flying just above their heads while this shot was being shown on the programme.
I do not have a link to the pic but am providing a link to the programmes website, as you can guess this has not been picked up by the newspaper media. Maybe there is someone out there who can obtain this photo, I can tell you it is for real this is not fantasy, so just what is really going on with this, my thoughts go to another poster on GLP who mentioned that the female soldier was interviewed on TV a few days before she was taken hostage.
This is all too weird, are we being duped by the Governments or what?

I am more amazed that they were still holding their weapons beside them, surely it would make sense for the Iranians to have taken their weapons off them once that were captured, do you know any other army who would allow captured soldiers to keep their weapons? |

Anyone else think it's more than just a coincidence that the female soldier was interviewed on TV a few days before her capture, how come her out of thousands of other female soldiers? |

Definitely could have been friendly soldiers who arrested them, i can tell you the captured soldiers were VERY RELAXED and smoking, but if this is the case then why have the Iranians not come out and denied the any involvement? |

They showed almost the exact same pic on TV today but the angle that showed it from made sure that the large Iranian flag was blocking out the view of the weapons, in this pic they seemed to be focusing more on the female than anyone else. |

perhaps Paxman has a recording of it so we can all see the unedited version. Of course there is no mention of it here in USA so far. Who ever picked this up in UK please keep an look out, as I am sure Jeremy Paxman will be looking further into it, he cant help himself.

The poster of this other GLP thread is discussing the exact same clip that I am referring to, only BBC2 News night showed a still photo when Paxman pointed out the soldier holding his gun while sitting beside the captured female who was smoking.
