Why do Christians worship the planet Jupiter (Jehova)?
Jehova was the Egyptian god of Jupiter and volcanoes. The Babylonians also called Jupiter Jehova.

Don't you Christians feel a little bit silly worshipping a spinning piece of rock?

Re: Why do Christians worship the planet Jupiter (Jehova)?
Don't be dense (like jupiter) LOL

Christians worship the creator of the universe (Jesus Christ).

Jehova is just another name for GOD. In fact if you study the bible you will find more than 20 different names.

They all are summed up in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Any christian that doesn't worship and follow Jesus Christ isn't a christian.........duh......to bad there are many people that are christians in name only...their deeds and character are more like pagans

Jehova is a Judaic god. As is Yahweh. They have nothing to do with Jesus Christ.

But I can see where you're coming from.

Re: Why do Christians worship the planet Jupiter (Jehova)?
The Vedic duw becomes duwa, and also the modern diva. Diva becomes deva, the root of the word divine (meaning "in god" or "of god"). Deus (meaning god) comes originally from Dis or Dis Pater, a major Irish deity and Lord of the Underworld. The name shows up as the Latin deus and dyaus, and as the Anglo-Saxon Jeus. So we have our Jesus. We can see Duw in "Jew," in "Jehusa" and perhaps "Yeshua." And, if the letter "U" is rendered "V" we derive Jehov or Jehovah. We can see how, given the variance of dialect and intonation, the true largely unacknowledged origin of the words Jesus, Joshua, Jove, Jupiter, Jehovah, Jason, Judah, Judges, and Jerus-alem, etc. In every case these titles referred to light and more specifically to the sun. They were titles for the Sun Priests of the ancient Solar Cults.

The divine title "Lord", in the New Testament, is translated from the Greek "Kuros," which is the Persian name for the sun; God is "Gad," an Ammonian name for the sun; Jehovah by translation and declension, become Jupiter, which, according to Macrobius, is "the sun itself." Deity is from the Latin "Deus," which is traceable to "dies," a day - a period of time measured by the sun; Jesus is from "Jes"...which means "the one great fire from the sun," and Christ is derived from "Chris," a Chaldean term for the sun - Kersey Graves (Bible of Bibles, 1863 AD)

My belief is that they do so in exchange for knowledge that allows them to be rulers of this realm. That catch is that many will remain here whilst the rest proceed to greater lives.

ac 221969, Jehovah of the Old Testament has nothing to do with Jesus Christ? When Jesus referred many times to the Old Testament, referred to the Old Testament prophets? Quoted Deuteronomy often? You obviously haven't studied the Lord or you would know what He actually said

Well, that's not true Dr_Kynes. If you'll notice in the OT in Genesis, The GODS are plural. Who are they? They are the Anunnaki. You will find evidence of them in the Sumerian artifacts. I don't care for the OT, but I see much wisdom in the NEW T.

And that's very true. Having known him, I can say, he did not want to be worshipped, so when people put their energy into something outside themselves instead of looking within, they are missing the message.

Jesus Christ did not rebuke Thomas when he called Him "My Lord and my God" when he saw Him after the resurrection. It sounds like no one on this thread has any idea whatsoever who Jesus Christ is or why He took on the form of man and what He accomplished. It would help to study the Bible and learn

People "looked within" for thousands of years. It was called "The Law". Once people looked "without" they found Grace.

If YOUR version of "the message" is correct, look within, and then go raise the dead. Until then STFU.
