Give me some facts from the bible, I'd love to hear them.

1.Isreal existed as a nation and still does today.
2.There was a great flood that happened on the earth as documeted by many many societies, cultures and religions.
3.Egypt existed in the bible and today.

How many does it take?

LOL, check out the title of this tread, how about some facts about that, not geographic or meteorological facts. Take this challenge:

Tell me what happened on Easter. Use the four gospels, and pull together one consistent story about what happened on Easter morning. The task is impossible because the gospels don't agree.

The last request was facts from the bible. However I will further our discussion to Easter.

But first I have to say that we must use something that the bible calls faith and we as a people call intuition (The direct perpection of truth, fact, etc., independent of any reasoning process).

True we are now on the same path. We can agree that time exists, right? However if it does exist then does it pertain to our entire universe or is it only rlegated to earth? I know this may seem irrelevant however so does the world being flat.

Now you expect me to believe without prove that yuou are correct about the bible and my perception is incorrect. Funny thing about perception two people can see the same thing and see to different things.

I have read these accounts and my perceptions are irrelevant here, you Christians have the explaining to do, not the doubters. The burden of proof is on you, not the detractors to show that your god is all good, all merciful, all present, and all knowing. Just because an inconsistent collection of scrolls scratched out by some desert tribe says it is so, isn't proof. The worst part for you is that the very source you quote to prove the point that god is all-good and merciful lists so much evidence to the contrary.

Classic response from a lost person that knows not what they lecture about. You have no response to my challenge, I am not giving you my perception because it would taint the conversation but it's clear you have no response to it. Read "Losing Faith in Faith, From Preacher To Atheist" by Dan Barker but I know you won't because it has the word Atheist in the title. Hopefully someday you will recognize the inconsistencies in the bible and come to the realization that we control our own destinies and do not need religion to "show us the light."

As I have said before, the burden of proof is on you, the believer. You keep avoiding the issue at hand so I will ask ANYONE out there if they can explain the Easter problem.

Tell me what happened on Easter. Use the four gospels, and pull together one consistent story about what happened on Easter morning. The task is impossible because the gospels don't agree. That doesn't make all of them wrong, but at least some of them are incorrect in their account. If the source you quote as truth fails to be internally consistent, it cannot be trusted in it's accuracy as a whole.

Why should we do what you ask, you are the one having the problem, prove it is false, or are you uncapable of doing this? If it is as blaringly obvious as you say it should be a simple task.

All 4 gospels tell a different story about what happened on Easter. How are we to tell which one is correct? If you question a scientist that says "x" is true, the burden of proof lies with the scientist to reveal thatproof and show you why "x" is true. You, in the case, are the scientist because you believe what the bible is telling you and accept it as truth so it is up to you to provide the facts that why I am incorrect in my thinking. Surely you can understand something as simple as that. If you can't then you are just like the majority of "believers" out there. You have no explanation so you twist things around in an effort to take the light off of yourselves. I await your explanation.

Quite true.

If God is omnipotent (all powerful) then giving Man free-will is giving some of God's power away to Man. One can't be ALL-Powerful AND yet not have ALL the power. Thus, free-will is not as it seems.

(I've read no further, so I don't have a clue as to the other three pages of responses to this. I'l; keep reading.)

Re: 10 Facts about God, known ever since Day 1
You are the one that believes, I am asking you for you to explain this discrepancy. You are either avoiding the issue or simply cannot explain it and I am beginning to think it's the latter.

Again, You are the questioningand saying it is not true. i quess at this point in a discussion....it is either put up or shut up.......

If you were in earnest searching the truth I would gladly give it to you, But you search only to argue your perception of truth. A wise man cannot convinence a fool that the sun is hot.

You have avoided and avoided the question about Easter since you acknowledged it. I am through waiting to hear your response to it because you have none. I will ignore the posts from you from now on since you have nothing to add.
