Missile launch??...Blue light with tail over Vegas

Now my friend just saw a red one disappear into the north over the city.

Not as big as the blue one.

Hmm?

I asked if he thought it was meteors....he says no, they were moving way too slow to be meteors.

Just seen what looked like a missile or a Rocket cross the sky tonight, more like 5 mins ago in the southern part of the night sky. I'm in Tucson,Az. Anyone else see the same thing?

I saw something!

I just posted the following in the SpaceX thread before I saw this.

"I just saw the strangest thing in the sky here in southern colorado. A very bright object that was streaming two large plumes of smoke. It seemed stationary at first and my initial instinct was it was a planet slightly obscured by a thin cloud. Then it slowly began moving to the East. As it was moving I grabbed my binoculars out of my car to get a closer look and that's when I could clearly see two large plumes of smoke (or whatever) emanating behind it's direction of travel at a roughly 45 degree angle and brightly lit by the object itself. It seemed like it almost turned around for a brief moment then the plumes quit and it slowly traveled behind a mountain and I couldn't see it any more.

Could this be related to SpaceX?

My thoughts when I was watching it through the binos was that it was an extremely slow meteor burning slowly in the atmosphere.

Very very weird never seen anything like it.
Anybody have any idea what this was? Anyone else see it?

This is weird though because the object I saw was to my south and definitely moving towards the East.

We had a very close NEO supposed to pass today and an even closer one due Feb 9th.

Feb. 6 --- Falcon Heavy • Demo Flight

Launch window: 1830-2100 GMT (1:30-4:00 p.m. EST)

Launch site: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida

A SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket will launch on its first demonstration flight. The heavy-lift rocket is formed of three Falcon 9 rocket cores strapped together with 27 Merlin 1D engines firing at liftoff. The first Falcon Heavy rocket will attempt to place a Tesla Roadster on an Earth escape trajectory into a heliocentric orbit.

What, and no one raised a doom essence with this? Tsk!

TONIGHT at 11:25 PM PACIFIC TIME, a Minuteman III ICBM will launch from Vandenberg AFB, about 100 miles north of Los Angeles, CA. on the coast.

As usual, it will fly out to the Kwajalein Missile Range in the South Pacific.

This is a routine ICBM test for missile readiness by the USAF's Strategic Air Command.

The launch window is from tonight at 11:25 PM Pacific time to 5:25 AM Pacific time early tomorrow morning.

There was thick fog earlier in the region, so not sure if that will put a damper on the launch or not.

Your description of the tail is very similar to what I saw but the object I saw was moving eastward?

The best one can do at a moment's notice with a cell phone, eh?

It was the final burn on the car SpaceX put in orbit earlier, sending it toward the Mars orbit.

My friend described it as coming out of the west and bank to the south.

Night time perception can be tricky.... so not sure.

Yea had to be the same object then. I saw it come out of the west and it was to my south when I lost sight.

Korea is southwest.

Maybe alien spacecraft are moving in toward Southern California to monitor the launch, as they did for a 1964 missile test launch out of Vandenberg AFB, seen by USAF monitors located up the California coast about 200 miles in the Big Sur region along coastal Highway 1.

The UFO was observed circling the Atlas F missile while in flight!...

in southern oregon here , i saw it with my wife outside smoking, moving southeast then more south till out of view, tracked it in the south for 8 min, very very slow moving fuzzyish light blue in color? didn't know what it was must have been high up for me to see it in oregon, never seen anything like it...

Great catch! Photo is actually good, I've never seen a UFO pic that detailed.

looks like a 2nd stage rocket.
