Actually,
if you read deeply...
You would realize that most Mormons
believe in their doctorine that the sign of the End Times is near.
That the constitution will hang by a thread and
their church will ride in on a White Horse and save the
constitution and country through president elect...

So, if they ever get someone in office...it is pretty important.


And, even Mitt Romney has sworn oaths to follow whatever the church leadership says.

Church leadership = Prophet,Seer & Revelator = President Hinckley and First Presidency/Quorum of 12 apostles.


As far as the tribe deal: I don't know, but I know that they believe in the 12 tribes of Israel.
