Hey, there's another Fantasia on the board!

Well, brothers and sisters, I love you all and will pray for your well-being. I am a Mormon, and to be honest, I find it interesting how many people are scared of Mormons. I read through many of the links provided, and well, many of them are grossly out of context. That provided, prophets can say incorrect things when not functioning as a prophet. They are also allowed personal opinions. I hardly think we should hold them to the same standard as Christ: perfection. No where in the Bible does it say that Isaiah was perfect, only Christ wears that label.

In terms of my religion, I can assure you that we do not have secret meetings to take over the US or the world. And honestly, we are a very diverse religion. I attended a small group in China in which we had Taiwanese, Mongolian, German, Austrian, and African-Americans. It is a shame that African-Americans did not have the priesthood for so long. However, I'm glad they do now! And isn't it a shame how many "other" Christian priests preached segregation and inferiority of African-Americans from the pulpit? Isn't it sad that in order to become part of the Union, Utah actually had to take the voting right AWAY from women? There are two sides to every story.

In terms of religion, I will tell you about mine. I believe all people are created equally. I believe that God created us, and loves ALL of us. That's right, it's irregardless of race, religion, or anything else. I believe that we have a God-given DUTY to actively seek to serve others, and become tolerant. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that hating and bad-mouthing other religions is a Satan-inspired thing. As times become harder, we need to UNITE to serve God... not just as Christians. We need to unite with people from all religions, races, and nations. And we need to stop the childishness that has characterised this election. "Well, but he's black..." "Oh, but she has TWO X chromosomes!" "His father was a Muslim... be very, very afraid." "Mormons aren't people... they have tails and horns."

Jesus said love EVERYONE. So what excuse do we have not to follow His commandment?
