Quoting: Only Original Documents As much as I like cats. I myself can hear the noise start even before the cats moved. Glad they were ok. I heard it too, but I don't think it was loud enough to make all the cats sit up at attention like that. Something more than just the noise caused their reaction. |

No need to own a pet, when you can rent one for an hour for the price of a coffee. When you are afraid of losing your life, you have already lost your life. Don't be afraid. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74036973 United States 07/12/2018 12:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The first EQ I was ever in was in San Diego in September/October of 1987. I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night with possibly the worst headache I'd ever had. I laid there in bed for about two minutes and then felt the building begin to shake (my apartment was on the first floor). It lasted maybe thirty to forty-five seconds. When it stopped, I noticed my headache was completely gone, and didn’t return. There is something that happens just before an earthquake that can affect people and animals. Not surprised that animals can feel it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 5880246 Canada 07/12/2018 01:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | P waves travel much faster but are much weaker than S waves. The cats detect the P waves which always arrive before the S waves. Earthquake early warning systems detect P waves as well. Quoting: Anton Chigurh Think of the P wave as the oscillation you witness by pushing and pulling the end of a slinky, whereas S waves are what you would get if you shake the slinky from side to side. +1 I agree. You get the P-Wave (a jolt), which is the initial "slip" of the seismic plate (or whatever), followed by the S-Waves that are a rolling undulating movement of the earth. A Jolt, and a Roll are typical of earthquakes. A rock in a still pond, splash, followed by waves and rings of motion on the pond. . |

In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |

I could tell what direction it was coming from. A metaphor would be that I could hear it coming just like you would hear a truck coming from afar or a train. I was miles and miles from the epicenter. I would bet there would be less of that effect if one was closer. I also felt when it (the earthquake waves) arrived, and I heard it leave and in what direction it left in. |

He'd just keep jumping and trying not to touch the ground. It was funny. I don't know what lies they told you, but I can promise they were lies.
