For once, I agree with PNACguy
I wrote about US senators a couple of nights ago. I'm going to AGAIN. I got auto response replies from all but one (Sherrod Brown, Dem. Ohio). Here is what his office wrote (notice the busllshit):
"Thank you for contacting me about my views on the current immigration proposals being considered by Congress.
I have supported legislation to curb illegal immigration by increasing criminal penalties for alien smuggling and document fraud, eliminating the use of government documents that are easily forged, and doubling the number of border patrol guards. Better enforcement and tougher penalties for both undocumented immigrants and their lawbreaking employers are the way to fight unauthorized employment, and employment opportunities are what drive illegal immigration.
Unless we fix the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and enforce our own labor laws, we will continue to debate how high the fence should be and how many agents should guard our border – with no real solution in sight. In 1994, the U.S. signed NAFTA, which promised, among other things, to help create a thriving middle class in Mexico. At that time there were 3 million undocumented workers in the U.S.; today there are more than 11 million. In Mexico, 9 million more live in poverty than when NAFTA was enacted. NAFTA has failed the U.S. and Mexico. By creating an atmosphere where Mexican citizens feel they have no chance of a successful life in Mexico, these ill-conceived trade agreements increase the number of illegal immigrants coming into our country.
In addition to addressing the forces that are compelling illegal immigration, we must take action to bring illegal immigrants out of the shadows. While I do not support amnesty and have serious concerns about guest worker programs, I do believe our nation should consider establishing a process by which illegal immigrants can eventually earn citizenship.
The solution to our immigration problem will not be a simple one, as many things in our country need to be fixed to stop illegal immigration. It is time to take a common sense approach to immigration reform. Thank you again for contacting me.

world COMBINED. We do not need any more "guest workers". We had a green
card system that worked just fine. ALL illegals need to LEAVE.
There is no such thing as an "undocumented immigrant". These are ILLEGAL
ALIENS, who have broken our laws, and invaded our country. Any other
language is Orwellian-speak. Is someone selling oxycontin, on the
street, an "undocumented pharmacist"? Cut the BS.

Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against

You took and oath to protect and defend the Constitution. You betray the

I now hear that the Senate has approved a new deal for immigration “reform” that will legalize millions of illegal immigrants. As I have written before, I do not approve of legalizing people who have entered the US by criminal means. These immigrants are stressing our criminal justice and health care system to the breaking point. Further, every child they have here will be a legal US citizen…. Equal in rights to my own children!!! Their population will grow geometrically as they do not practice birth control. First 20 million, Then 80 million then 320 million!!! It is already crowded in our cities. I implore you… take immediate action to defeat this legislation and save our country!!!
I do not care if your corporate “masters” want cheap labor. One day these new “peasants” will tear down the gates of your “secure compounds” and drag you and your family into the streets….. of course me and my family will be gone long before then… as we cannot afford “Blackwater” security forces to watch our backs. |

after reading the bill, i came to the conclusion that if i were an illegal, i would give up hope of ever becoming a legal resident, who has five thousand dollars , especially when making minimum wages, and then you have to return to your native country , well that would suck, that is why they left in the first place
at first glance i was pissed at the headline, but i doubt that more than a few thousand will actually become legals under this bill
now, what are we going to do with the remaining millions and millions of illegals?

If you have a problem with "Anchor Babies" as you seem to have, realize please that the "lovely" 14th Amendment would have to be repealed in order to change the Anchor Baby thing. This is a very important fact and concept that very few have spoken about, the 14th Amendment and the fact that it would have to be either repealed or itself amended. The point is that anyother way of changing this other than a Constitutional Amendment would itself be UnConstitutional.
The reality of the "14th Nervous Breakdown" is beginning to break upon the shores of the US Citizen's consciousness. |

Looks to me like Tancredo is definitely against this. And I know that Duncan Hunter is against it big time. Not all of the Republicans are on board with this, at least three GOP Presidential candidates are completely against this. |

There is currently NO CAP on H2A guest workers Visas, these are the ones that work in Agriculture, so the whole line about "no one to pick the grapes and produce and work in the fields" without this Deal or New Immigration bill is so much crap and "lipstick on a pig".
This deal has got to die and die a quick death.
And yes we can jail 12 million, we already have millions of US Citizens in jail.... |
