Keep up the pressure on the US Senate (contacts)

I started at the top of the list. Easiest way to do this is to open one browser for the Senate list, then right click > open in new window, and email that Senator. Write ONE letter, and just paste it in each email (quickest way). Just go down the list until you've emailed all of them. WE MUST STOP THIS LEGISLATION. This is treason. If this bill goes through, the US population will hit 600,000,000 in 5 years. It may take you a couple of hours to email all of them, because you have to fill out each email form, one by one. A couple require you to use your own email (not their website form). THIS IS CRITIACL. They are trying to ram this amnesty through, on the fast track. One they pass it, it goes to the House, where it will be harder to pass. Once we've emailed all senators, we move on to the House, and STOP THIS TREASONOUS LEGISLATION IN IT'S TRACKS.
Here is the Senate list. Click on each to go to their sites:

Re: S. 1348
I watched as the Senate deal for illegal immigrants was announced,
today. Disgusting, and a stab in the back of every tax paying, working,
and VOTING American citizen.
This country already takes in more LEGAL immigrants than the entire
world COMBINED. We do not need any more "guest workers". We had a green
card system that worked just fine. ALL illegals need to LEAVE.
There is no such thing as an "undocumented immigrant". These are ILLEGAL
ALIENS, who have broken our laws, and invaded our country. Any other
language is Orwellian-speak. Is someone selling oxycontin, on the
street, an "undocumented pharmacist"? Cut the BS.
Article IV Section 4 US Constitution:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a
Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against
Invasion
You took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. You betray the
American people by doing the bidding of illegal alien criminals and the
businesses who hire them. We The People do not want to support Mexico or
it's citizens. No amnesty, no "comprehensive immigration reform", no
compromises, NO KIDDING. We EXPECT you to uphold your oath of office,
and your duty to US citizens. DO NOT PASS THIS LEGISLATION. |

And that DOES have an impact. If they get enough calls and emails, they might realize they could be hanging from a light pole over this stab in the back to America. |

I agree. Keep up the pressure. The good thing about calling is that I got to hear the inflection in the staffer’s voice during the conversation. Although, neither Senator currently has an “official” position on the proposed legislation, both staffer’s said that they are surprised by the amount of (I assume negative) feed back they are receiving. |

Friday, May 18, 2007 8:21 AM EDT
The Associated Press
By DAISY NGUYEN
LOS ANGELES (AP) — About 2,000 immigration reform demonstrators marched peacefully Thursday to the park where protesters and journalists clashed with police during a rally earlier this month.
Organizers said the purpose of the demonstration was to strengthen the immigrant community's trust that they could exercise their constitutional rights. It came hours after the White House and top lawmakers announced a deal that would grant legal status to millions of illegal immigrants if approved.
"We are hardworking people. We just want to be here legally," said Maria Navas, a sewing factory worker from El Salvador who has been in Los Angeles for 14 years.
Marchers gathered in front of a church for a town hall-style meeting before a procession to MacArthur Park west of downtown. Police spokeswoman Mary Grady said the department kept officers on overtime in case they were needed.
Four investigations are ongoing into the May 1 melee, and two commanders have been removed. At that event, riot police struck demonstrators and journalists with batons and fired more than 240 rubber bullets to disperse the crowd. Officers say they responded after being pelted by rocks and bottles. No one was seriously hurt, but at least 60 citizen complaints involving as many as 100 officers have been filed.
People waved from windows in tall office buildings as the marchers filed past Thursday. When people arrived at MacArthur Park, a police officer used a bullhorn to direct marchers in Spanish, saying "Thank you for your cooperation."
The peaceful crowd banged on drums and waved mostly U.S. flags, as well as those from Mexico, El Salvador and other Latin American countries. Police estimated the crowd at about 2,000.
"If there are a lot of people who come today, maybe the lawmakers in Washington will take notice. The immigrants are here; they deserve a chance," said participant Alberto Reyes.
This time, police patrolled on bicycles or stood by. Officers planned to pass out fliers with a message printed in English, Spanish and Korean.
"The Los Angeles Police Department is committed to working in cooperation with the event organizers to protect your right to free speech," the flier said. "We wish to allow you to engage in marches, demonstrations, protests and rallies in the city of Los Angeles to freely express your opinions."
Marchers differed on the legislative immigration plan, which would require illegal immigrants to return home to apply for residency, pay a $5,000 fine and potentially wait eight to 13 years for permanent residency. Debate on the proposal is set to begin Monday in the Senate.
A factory worker, Ricardo Cristobal, said that he thought the $5,000 fine was too high and that he was participating in his third march "so the government can hear us and legalize us."
Also among the marchers was actor Martin Sheen, who said he was supporting immigrant rights because his parents came to the United States as immigrants from Spain and Ireland.
"Today I march under my real name, which is Ramon Estevez," Sheen said.
He said he supported the measures in Congress. "It's a good start. It's not going to satisfy everybody, and it's not going to solve the problem, but it's as good as one can do under the circumstances," Sheen said.

Your letter was excellent.
Are there any lawyer's in the house?
What recourse does the American citizenry have against a congress who goes against the oath they took to defend the constitution? There must be some provision tucked away somewhere to give us hope in case the pricks ignore us again. |

Good point. I would like to hear a legal/Constitutional view on this and what are the requirements for the oath our Senators have taken. |

I've been thinking along these same lines. Two things: they have violated their oaths of office, and facilitated a foreign invasion. That's treason. Second; they have passed laws stripping us of our Constitution rights. Not only does the Constitution forbid that, but Title 18 of the US Code says we can sure any individual who violates our civil liberties under COLOR OF LAW. That means that they cannot hide behind their government offices. We can get them as PEOPLE. It would cost each one of them DEARLY in time, legal fees, and reputation, to defend against such a suit.
WE NEED A LAWYER. |

Here's another, even better, letter, posted by another AC last night:
I now hear that the Senate has approved a new deal for immigration
“reform” that will legalize millions of illegal immigrants. As I have
written before, I do not approve of legalizing people who have entered
the US by criminal means. These immigrants are stressing our criminal
justice and health care system to the breaking point. Further, every
child they have here will be a legal US citizen…. Equal in rights to my
own children!!! Their population will grow geometrically as they do not
practice birth control. First 20 million, Then 80 million then 320
million!!! It is already crowded in our cities. I implore you… take
immediate action to defeat this legislation and save our country!!!
I do not care if your corporate “masters” want cheap labor. One day
these new “peasants” will tear down the gates of your “secure compounds”
and drag you and your family into the streets….. of course me and my
family will be gone long before then… as we cannot afford “Blackwater”
security forces to watch our backs.
Is that kick ass or what?! |

He is supposed tobe coming back on shortly. For those without cable, you can watch it here:
