Some of it is from arson fires, the deliberate destruction of forests and homes.

Pretty bad here too...but not as bad as last year when most of the NW was affected. The rising sun looked like a giant orange planet.

My cabin filter was thick with ash. Don't neglect changing it in the fall.



Love BC BTW. Beautiful place --friendly people -- excellent food, well in Vancouver anyway and Whistler.

Here too. We got a wind this weekend that blew it out, but by noon Monday it was back. The sky is not so aluminum grey as last week, but the smoke is more irritating. It's really bothering my eyes the last 2 days. You can see the smoke in the air just looking across the street.

Not sure what part of Canada your in but Glacier just caught on fire

Haven't seen the sky in days up here in Montana. Air quality sucks.

I'm on the 'Sunshine Coast'...lol...the sun is orange, it smells like smoke and I want the winds from the South or South West to come up again to blow this stuff off.

the Golden Gate Bridge FOG.

The guy in the apartment below us has decided to VARNISH
ALL OF HIS HARDWOOD FLOORS...so the fumes are coming up
here along with the smoke...Insane idea, wouldn't you think?
(They're at a motel with their fans on and the windows
closed, if you can believe THAT!)

Seems like breathing is a luxury now...they'll try to
figure out how to sell us OXYGEN in containers like we
have with the clean water. SUCKS.

I would avoid breathing it in as much as you can. If it's houses burning, all sorts of toxins (burning plastics, etc.) could be in the smoke. I'm not sure if there are any masks that would help, but I would look into if I were caught up in the smoke.

Very hazy in CO from the CA fires....but we've seen this in past fires out west...

The idiota is varnishing smoke stank in that. You would think this would occur? Volatile solvent out, every micro piece of dust, dirt, smoke and fire retardant right in.

After watching "How it ends", i was just thinking about a WW3 scenario, Seattle is one of the first nuclear targets. If that smoke would be mixed with radioactive fallout , lower BC, Alberta would be dead ; would have more chances somewhere north of Trans Canada hwy 16, Hinton to Prince George area.

I live in WA State.
