Then we will have a great movie script. I bet a few generals are going to get hard-ons when they read this. I recall there was a viral outbreak somewhere in central or south America decades ago. It spread mostly through snakes, they were not zombies but they would bite anything they got near. After a while it spread to humans. The humans also were not zombies, but the virus damaged their brain substantially. It removed all restraint and made them kind of stupid so they would just wander around in a daze until there was enough movement. Then they would chase down whatever was moving and bite it. I think they might have made a movie about it. Edit coming. Hold on.... China has been interacting with Africa a lot. Contact tracing in red zones On Twitter, the WHO confirmed that 10 vaccination rings have been identified around the most recent 28 cases in the outbreak, leading to approximately 1,300 people being vaccinated with Merck's unlicensed Ebola vaccine. Earlier this year, the vaccine was used successfully to prevent transmission in a smaller outbreak in western DRC. That outbreak was declared over in late July, after 54 confirmed illnesses, 33 of them fatal. Although the previous outbreak was challenging because it took place in such a rural area, WHO and DRC officials emphasize the challenge is greater in the current outbreak, which is taking place in an eastern region riddled with as many as 130 rebel fighting groups.
