I get your anxiety mate but theirs something like 10,000 planes in the air globally on average and it is almost always fine.
Check that flight radar sight for progress, i am sure she will be calling you at some point soon, hang in there and try to relax a little

What makes it worse, is that she is from a small town with hardly no internet, so communication is few and far between!

Just avoid movies like Taken, and TV shows like LOST!

Txt it to her, too. Just repeat that and imagine your wife, the pilot, the plane all surrounded by white light. "Be not afraid" because what you fear you give energy to. Instead send good images to her and surround your self with PEACE and white light.
Isnt it better to be safe on the tarmac than in the sky waiting for lightening to hit? Sounds like she has a good pilot. pray for him, too. I will also do so.

Flight delays and cancellations happen EVERY DAY, at EVERY airport, all over the earth.

She'll be fine. Weather delays and cancellations happen every day. Once she gets to JFK, her flight/flights to LED will be wonderful!

If you give us her flight numbers, we'll follow on flightaware. I love to do that!
