Very disturbing..and rather prophetic sounding... Talk about the mark of the beast.
Yes it's safe, it's very safe, it's so safe you wouldn't believe it....
... No, it's not safe, it's very dangerous. Be Careful.

Re: You may not get to keep your job without Gestapo approvalQuote

If taken to a higher level of Gestapo madness this might not just be a labor problem it could affect industries too.

Take an Corporation like Google who has at times resisted the Feds...current management could flunk approval and potentially a job seeker who would apply could be placed on the employment no-fly list.

Gute Nacht, Google.

No jobs for US citizens without Homeland Security approval
Submitted by Canada IFP on Sat, 2007-05-26 18:00.
Americas | United States | News

US citizens who apply for a job will need prior approval from Department of Homeland Security under the terms immigration bill passed by the Senate this week.

American Civil Liberties Union pointed out that the DHS's Employment Eligibility Verification System (EEVS) is error plagued and if the department makes a mistake in determining work eligibility, there will be virtually no way to challenge the error or recover lost wages due to the bill’s prohibitions on judicial review.

Even current employees will need to obtain eligibility approval from the DHS Within 60 days of the Immigration Reform Act of 2006 becoming law.

"EEVS would be a financial and bureaucratic nightmare for both businesses and workers," said Timothy Sparapani, ACLU Legislative Counsel. "Under this already flawed program no one would be able to work in the U.S. without DHS approval - creating a ‘No Work List’ similar to the government’s ‘No Fly List.’ We need immigration reform, but not at this cost."

The act allocates US$400 million for the implementation of the EEVS, but the Congressional Budgeting Office estimates the system to cost in excess of a billion dollars.

Re: You may not get to keep your job without Gestapo approvalQuote

AThis doesn't sound much different than what's already being done.

As it is now, employers have to have all new employees complete and sign an I-9 form (employment eligibility form), then the employer signs off on the form after viewing and/or copying a copy of state I.D., birth certificate or social security card and submits the form to the government.

Sounds like horseshit to me. I employ several people(who suspect I am insane, but enjoy the magical paycheck) and would love to get on the phone to any asshole DHS fuckheads and tell them to eat shit if they ever sent me such ludicrous paperwork.

It's my understanding that there are no submittal instructions for that form and it only needs to be kept on file by the employer.

All the larger corporations complete I9's. It is mandatory and required by Homeland Security.
You obviously own small company and for some reason don't know about this law and you aren't alone.

But, if Homeland Security ever decides to audit your books, you are suppose to have copies on all current employees and retain copies for three years on previous employees.

A rather unevolved and constipated bureaucracy, MS might take their time approving anything.
