All white sugar makes crispier cookies so use half light brown sugar.
Shortening makes softer cookies that puff up and taste great.
You might not like the thought of Crisco in your cookies, but you will love the taste. Better than butter.
You can get sticks of refrigerated shortening next to the butter in most grocery stores.
