People wait for something tragic to happen in order to gain perspective. why?
Why do people freak out over meaningless little things and
fight with each other over even less?

I swear they live in their own little worlds in only when something *big* comes
along do they get shaken out of their comfy reality. The traumatic
events on the way for this world...i can't imagine how these ppl could handle it?
I have a feeling people will simply go mad. RedElk always mentions this
as apocalyptic events become too much for the mind to handle. You can see
the start of this 'madness' in many already.

Let me guess, you're comparing everybody else to yourself? LOL!

how hard is it to accept that the majority of humanity aren't functioning with the level of awareness you have?

see, that was simple wasn't it? superman

They don't care for enlightenment; they don't want truth. They also do
not know real love because at the highest level, love and truth are
one in the same. Is it so hard to at least *try* to discover the meaning of
why we're here?

Starless,

for me it's all about ethics!

And too few have been blessed with an ethical disposition!!

People have been slowly lulled to sleep with high-tech toys, television, flouride, anti-depressant drugs...etc

I think that they are distractions, but they are not the cause of non-ethical entities!!

We will neither experience enlightenment at its highest potential; if we keep ourselves trapped with the belief others aren't capable. The process itself can involve one to become quite selfish to the extent where you have no other choice but to become a leader for them. have more confidence that you know the truth, and you will realize how intense it keeps getting inside that mindset.

In my opinion, it usually just becomes the only option left to make living bearable.

Try not to adapt to dis-empowerment, as if you aren't capable of making a change in the world. you feel totally USELESS.

The tragedy was on 9-11 and if you do not have a clear perspective by now maybe you need to go through some de-programing.

well the truth is empowering in itself. but not that i have to go become a guru. the approval or praise of others is not needed to know you are on the right path. i guess we dont have to 'try' to do anything, just 'be' who we are and be honest with ourselves.

Good post, OP! And good points, Edgar!

It's also important to realize that by working on ourselves we widen the path for others.

By focusing on the best for all concerned, we achieve direct understanding and knowledge.

By seeing the world as perfect, we see all as aware, experiencing beings, living life as they created it.

Thanks, everyone, for your input and continued work in consciousness!

In my experience, it snaps everything into focus. I helps people prioritise.
In the event of a mass tragedy, such as a natural disaster, it gives everyone involved something in common.
People really like that. They need that.
Sometimes it's the only thing that really brings people together as they should be.
If you are always standing next to a stream in a field of lilies, it's hard to imagine the dessert.

but you notice that feeling does not last(for many). those tragic times are a time to really change your perspective and remember what is important in life. but 5 minutes later its like it never happened...

its like hitting the snooze button in the morning...time to wake up...maybe too late for some?

Well if you can find absolute comfort in that state of mind, then why does there always feel like something is still missing? Perhaps because you aren't sharing your gift the way you should...

believe me there is always a pulling feeling. wanting to share, experience with others...our dreams are not yet fully realised.

Don't worry Starless. hf

Forms change but life is endless.
Everybody gets out eventually. One by one, at a time determined by each individual and The One. When they're ready, you know... it'll take some longer than others to decide when the hell stops for them, that's all.

We'll all make it. (((hugs)))
