Where did you learn math? If 50,000,000 cows are comsumed each year and you are stated that is 2.5 cows per person, that would state that the population is 20,000,000

Even if you did it backwards you are wrong. the USA is approaching 300,000,000 in populous. That would be 1 cow per 6 people or 1/6th of a cow per person or 0.166666667 cows per person.

Most nations have their own particular cruel history part,but on the whole I estimate,Eastern nations tend to be more ruthless with man and beast,due perhaps to a tendency of a hivemind,whereas western people tend to have more individual,isolated personalities IMO.

Actually, they are a wonderful people and are no more or less cruel than any other people.

The problem is that whale meat is one of their tradiitonal foods for thousands of years.

At present they are allowed 300 and they are asking to take 1000. I would say no to that.

I would also hope that the Japanese government begin to teach the people that whales and dolphins are intelligent beings - at least as intelligent as we are - and should not be considered a source of food.

It may take a generation or two to get them off eating whale and dolphin meat, but it can be done if they desired to do so.

sounds like a certain forum administrator person we all know...oops.

one thing i like about the japanese is their ability to combine seemingly opposed elements, such as urban architecture and nature scenes, into their city planning. they are very into dichotomy, and offsetting one extreme with another.

Its my take, that the ordinary, that is, common Japanese are very polite and gracious and non offensive.

They are industrialists,humble, creative,law abiding, family oriented people.
