Episode 01 of The Horizon Project begins with a frightening bang. Newly discovered scientific evidence shows that the world as we know it is about to come to an unexpected end; however, knowing what's coming over the horizon is only the tip of the iceberg; understanding WHY presents a picture far greater than you could have imagined.
Global catastrophic events throughout our past have severed the flow of information from one generation to the next, creating permanent gaps in history and knowledge. Civilizations that came before us knew of the upcoming inevitable catastrophe, leaving behind major clues that have just been recently discovered. The knowledge that was once lost is the missing link that provides a clear understanding of how our world truly operates. Ironically, these clues also inform us that time is running out; sooner than you may believe.

I bought a copy.
They mis-represent themselves.
There really isn't any team of scientists.
It's a fascinating theory and there is a lot of evidence
to back it up(do your own research) but the video is
lacking in credibility.
I understand they have a second version with more scientists
being interviewed.
I guess they received a lot of complaints like mine.
Still the topic is compelling and once you
do the research you will be blown away. |

Well, it may be true that the video is a bit heavy on the hyperbole. But their basic core theories are correct, in my opinion. Read stuff like Lost Star of Myth and Time by Walter Cruttendon and it's companion dvd The Great Year. His book is hammered down with much more concrete scientific evidence. There's also a growing list experts from their various fields each of whom are arriving at similiar conclusions about what is ahead. Many of it is based in the continueing extraction of evidence from Mayan and other ancient cultures.

The Binary Institute is also a very good source of knowledge for all of these theories. It's run by Cruttendon and present alot of hard evidence right on the site. That's right, no they don't lure you into buying their material like so many.

The differences in the premises is that the Horizon Project and other similiar theories focus on the idea that, in the same way that the planets move thru our solar system, our sun and solar system move moves thru the galaxy. The theory is that we are on the cusp of moving into what is called the galactic plane, an area of energy that will supposedly affect mankind. And has been doing so for many ages in our past like clockwork, thus the evidences of the rise and fall of man, the dark ages, etc. Horizon Project contends that the initial results of moving into this energy will be catostrophic. But not all experts believe that.
The only similiarity between the theories above and Planet X is the idea of a binary star and its movement thru space in an elliptical orbit. |

Also i noticed the entire episode in this link was just uploaded yesterday onto Google.Information like that should be free,Yet at the main site it speaks of future episodes?Seems to be nearly a complete body of work when i saw it.Looking foward to seeing more of what they have to say |

When I heard Dr Paul LaViolette on a radio show a few years ago it seemed the final piece had come together. You notice how much is spoken about the galactic center, gravity waves, and cycles lately? its a hot topic...plenty of great threads in the glp archives. |

good stuff but i fucking hate the mainstream/hollywood style narration in all these videos. the dramatic music is NOT NECESSARY either(unless all you're trying to do is SELL it), just present the facts and be done with it ffs. |

The following google answers link has quite a bit of 'real' information from various sources about the galactic plane (and the year 2012).

I found this pretty amusing:
"The article tells us that this up and down movement of the earth means that the earth crosses the plane every 33 years."
So that would debunk the whole galactic plane thing if it was accurate lol.
(But then it continues on with:
" Other sources referred to below, give a figure of 27 - 36 million years, so we see here an example of the difficulties involved in astronomical measuring.")
The bottom line is that there are a number of theories about when and where the plane is and when/where the earth would intersect it. The common thought seems to be that no one has any idea when it will be, despite some sensationalist marketing schemes for books/videos. (After all anyone who has supposedly life/death info shouldn't be selling it, but giving it to everyone) |

I bought the DVD. The production was not of a high standard in my opinion, however the content introduced important questions. My context relates - in part - to the Dan Burisch story and therefore I was looking for parallels and contradictions. According to Burisch, the 'catastrophic' time line has been averted. If this is true, then presumably the DVDs inference of an 'end times' event is no longer true. I would be interested to know if the Horizon Project teams RV unit continually revise their predictions or if the premise of the DVD was based on an earlier,static prediction... |

December 21st, 2012...the very date of the end of the Mayan Calendar, is when our solar system is supposed to be level with the "Galactic Plane".
There was something else mentioned on a program about Mayan Prophecy I saw a few days ago, something about the end of a very large cycle of equinoxes as well. Check it out on Google, it's interesting. |
