Santorini Volcano updates
Santorini Volcano may not be a supervolcano as is Yellowstone or Campi Flegrei, but if it erupts the way it did 3600 years ago, it can bring chaos in the area.

(Btw we see same increasing activity in other volcanos and supervolcanos too)

So,
Back in 2011-2012 santorini volcano almost woke up, there was some micro-seismic activity after 25 years of almost no activity at all, as the last eruption was back in 1955. Apart from the micro-earthquakes, there was change in the water color in some parts in the caldera and a gas smell.

What the scientists found back then, was that the volcano grew 20 years in just ONE year. The volcano is growing and the island got a change of 14 centimeter hight in 16 months.

"the underground chamber where molten rocks are assembled has expanded by 10 to 20 million cubic meters by lifting the entire island by one centimeter per month, essentially confirming the past months of studies that said the volcano is inflating."

Other studies around 2012 showed that at least 15% of the material ejected during the Minoan eruption of around 1600 bc, reached the magma chamber less than 100 years before the eruption, not gradually and in time, but in much shorter time.

this is one of the articles from 2012 on this in greek

NOW, some days ago (March 24 2019) new articles appear that claim that the research that was conducted from 2012 on (by Oregon Uni, Greek Uni and Imperial College of London), and the results were known by 2015 (as they put a lot of seismometers in and around the caldera and made a geological tomography of the caldera)
but didnt get published till now, revealed the existence of a shallow, deep and relatively narrow cylindrical anomaly of three kilometers in diameter, precisely at the point where the magma rose, causing the alarming earthquake-volcanic eruption of 2011-2012.
Below the cylindrical disorder of disturbed rocks, new magma accumulates slowly, according to scientists.

The position of this anomaly IS the same as 2011-2012 which is the same as that of the Minoan eruption.

"This anomaly," he added, "corresponds to a material of very low density, with a large porosity between 4% and 28%, which has pores filled with hot sea water. We conclude that the collapse of a certain area of the caldera floor created a low density roller with high porosity material. It is striking that the positions of the pipelines related to the first three phases of the Minoan eruption of 1600 BC are in the same position as the one of the anomaly we have identified. "

Thread: Santorini (nea kameni volcano) unrest. Water tempature in caldera rising! Magma spot also detected 4km depth.

Re: Santorini Volcano updates
So what does it mean?
And if everything in Cosmos and on the Earth, work in cycles, does it mean that the volcano has entered a new cycle around 2011, which may bring a big eruption like that of 1600 BC in the next years or decades?

And my friend said yesterday that we actually enter the new mega etos (the great year) of Plato, or the year of Aquarius.
