Some people believe Jesus is actually living as he rose from the dead after he died. His physical presence is not obvious however, but his spiritual can be felt, to be with us and in our hearts. Don't know if that helps?

Hi Tomek, I don't think Jesus left the church behind. I think he left us with the love of god though. The church and government were different entities than what jesus stood for. Later down in time Jesus and many other idols were adopted by church and state. They don't necessarily share his views. I don't remember Christ teaching us that we are damned.

Jesus did not leave us behind...He died on the cross for us so that we can have eternal life. Jesus is coming back for his people....could be any time, only God knows the exact time. When the rapture happens Jesus will take his people, the others will be left here.
