There are 2 different Jesus characters.
I think the one you may be referring to is called Jesus Sananda or Sananda Emmanuel and is the white Jesus - he is probably more likely to have come through a stargate as he is known to have strong connections with the New Age Extra-Terrestrial BS movement.

The other is the 'genuine' Jesus Christ who spent 15 years (from 14 - 29) in the East practicing Buddhism, before coming back to the West.

So I suppose it depends on who you believe to really be Jesus..
