Prayer helps to protect from sin. Humans, non-spiritual humans, "pray" for human things, for their bodies, for material success, etc.

That's not how it works. Prayer (communication with God) is vital to help keep you from sinning, and to receive Guidance from Him.

Yanno, human bodies die. No amount of prayer is going to change that. Focus on the real you (the Being part of the human+Being), and other Beings (your brothers and sisters, i.e. everyone), and you will see how it works.

it works, at least for me it works... prayer, mantras, meditation, esmas, dances concheras, velaciones, etc.. all of them connect you with the SUPREME FORCE (nothing to do with the gods of all religions)

Ya gotta love the Christians, if you don't believe then you're a satanist or you have been deceived by Satan. Like anything, prayer works when used properly with wisdom and understanding. In fact, it can be said that any words/thoughts/actions used in a manner that denote a desired outcome are a prayer, meaning everyone prays whether they think they do or not. If You are speaking of a desire to the outside world, You are speaking to God since God is within/as that outside world; if You are speaking to Your Self only, You are still speaking to God since God is within/as You: God is All That Is. Move into harmony with Divine Will/purpose and You will find much more ability to consciously affect Your experience as You would pray for it to be affected.

Why, because I don't beleive that god, jesus, allah, mohammad, lucifer, satan, or any other non-existant entity is going to help me, do my bidding, answer my prayers, deceive me into believing something, etc. etc. etc...

I do know that my decisions control my world and I live with the consequences of those decisions. I don't rely on some entity to save me or change my life. I do it. So no one but me is responsible for the good the bad ond the ugly in my life. Not god, not satan, just me. Try it you might find personal responsibility very satisfying. Nah, not likely.
