It's just a security camera viewpoint...fast moving B&W...there are several buses on the street, and a few pedestrians on the sidewalk.
At about 17:02 :19, the ground in the center of the intersection erupts. There's a transit bus in the right lane, and it gets walloped by the eruption. It's not easy to stop and start the video, but in the split seconds before the eruption the intersection didn't look menacing. I can see anything that indicates a car-bomb or anything else. The ground just erupts...like a movie.

Here's an idea: the steam pipe explosion created the distraction needed to SET UP the next false flag attack. You have an entire city block and more closed off, electricity turned off, traffic backed up, ConEd and other city workers congregating in one place (leaving other places vulnerable). Think about it. This wasn't the attack itself (if it was, it was pretty lame) but rather the distraction needed to be able to get access to OTHER places.
But honestly, I think it was all just a run-of-the-mill pipe accident. Unfortunatly, two people died. I feel for them and their families because nobody really cares. |

The survelleance video is heavily Photoshpped. In fact there's so much in the way of editing that I've got pages and pages of notes (and I'm only 40% into the video -- going frame by frame).
Try this... look at the following time points:

... And so on 'til:

Then the video displays:

Then it displays:
16:00
How do you explain this?
Try it out yourself... click the right arrow button (next to the down arrow of the player) frame by frame. Sometimes you get as low as 7 "time points" per minute... other times you get 16 "time points" per minute.

it doesn't matter to me if this was a so called test, dry run, or whatever! OP said something might happen in NY on wed. 18th, something did.
What amazes me is no one really stopped to think about this explosion itself. They are only focusing on the op, predictions on GLP hit & miss, and terrorists!
Look at this explosion! WFT, it was huge, Over 45 feet high, massive amounts of hot steam! What happens when all the pipes explode like that! Or even half of these pipes burst! Just look at the powerful force on those videos, coming from underneath the ground for crying out loud! Old pipes, or bombs planted on the pipes?
This was a small area, what if it was on a larger scale? People blown to smithereens, and others boiled to death! Building will be leveled! So was this an accident waiting to happen? Does this show the failed infrastructure the mayor was talking about? Just those words alone creeped me out.

Here ppl are watching the shy for airplane attack, when it could come up from below their feet!
It Could also be a good catalyst for the release of anything, biotoxins, radiation, virus, ect.
Well now we now there is another threat to NY, the underground infrastructure. Even a small quake could damage it. |

This is the part that creeps me out about the whole thing.
Every news release I looked at about this story had the bit about 24" pipe installed in (19)24.
To me the sole purpose of this op was to flash the number 24, for some reason. Why wouldn't the mayor just say "a large, very old pipe" or "a two foot pipe installed in the 1920's"....
Why be THAT specific???
Maybe it's nothing ominous and I certainly hope that's the case.
If it is ominous, they could be flashing the date somehow. Next Tuesday the saddest date on the Jewish calendar, Tisha B'Av, falls on 7/24. Tisha B'Av (or the 9th of Av) is when the two temples were destroyed and their city (Jerusalem) was plowed up.
Let's not forget that TV series "24" which deals with cities being nuked.
And of course, Chertoff's gut feeling about an attack happening soon. Not to mention that Zawahiri terrorist with his 'third warning'.
I agree with the poster further up in this thread who said this was a distraction. But, I would add it was also to signal a date to certain people.
