But for some shady reason, the moderators at this site didn't find it big enough and unpinned it earlier today.

We are doing something positive here by putting the conspirators on the run, and on the defensive. SInce we know who is behind international terrorism, we need to put the pressure on THEM, and not innocent arabs!.
Predicting a scheduled attack using real inside knowledge will go far to prevent that attack, and is the mark of a selfless hero imho. I dont know who the OP is or if he is real, but I do think his prediction should be taken seriously. |

Someone I know attended a talk which Homeland Security Head Michael Chertoff gave today at the University of Southern California on port and supply-chain security and public infrastructure protection.
My contact reported to me today by email that Chertoff spoke about more "gut feelings" that he (Chertoff) has about a simultaneous Los Angeles / San Francisco dirty bomb attack that "our enemy is surely planning".
I've had a hunch for a long time that the next false flag attack will be on the West Coast, so that it seems that the whole country is under attack, and not just the East Coast.

About Michael Chertoff
On February 15, 2005, Judge Michael Chertoff was sworn in as the second secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Chertoff formerly served as U.S Circuit Judge for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.

Initial eyewitness reports can be very telling. Since when does a steam pipe explosion (not a transformer) generate huge black clouds of smoke?
...Several office buildings were evacuated at the time of the explosion around 6 p.m.
“We thought the building was collapsing behind us,” Ken Houghton, 47, of Maplewood, N.J., a UBS consultant who works at 101 Park Avenue, between East 40th and 41st Streets. “We all ran for the door – ran for the fire exit, more accurately. I thought it was hail for a second. Then we saw rocks hitting the window on the seventh floor.”
He added, “We started moving south on Park Avenue and calling people to find out what was going on. It took us about five or six minutes until somebody who had his BlackBerry working found out it was a transformer. I called home, but there was nothing on any of the news channels yet.”
Helene Gresser, who works at Rottenberg Lipman Rich, a law firm in 369 Lexington Avenue, at East 40th Street, said the sound was “like a building coming down.” The windows quickly filled with gray clouds of steam, she said, and the streets were not even visible.
“We initially thought it was thunder and then the next thought was that it was a terrorist explosion,” she said. “It sounded like strong thunder, but it kept going and going. It’s nonstop. We can’t see anything now.”
Ms. Gresser, who said she had called the city’s 311 hotline several times in the past to report steam seeping from the street on 41st Street between Lexington and Third Avenues, and her colleagues stayed in their offices for fear of asbestos.
“Going outside the building is scary,” she said. “No one wants to go down the exterior stairs.”
Raul Vasquez, 18, was sweeping the floor inside the Pret à Manger sandwich shop at 41st and Lexington, when the explosion just a few feet outside the store’s glass windows knocked him off his feet. “The whole building shook,” he said.
When he staggered back to his feet, he ran to the back of the store and told the other employees there to run.
“I told them, ‘Run, there’s been an explosion,’” he said.
His first thought, he said, was terrorism. “I thought it was a terrorist explosion or something because of everything that has been happening,” he said.
As white smoke seeped into the store, the workers dashed out the store’s back door and through an office building, out onto 42nd street, where they found a scene of pandemonium. With a stampede of other pedestrians, they ran west down 42nd street.
“Everyone’s panicked,” said Alex J. Yeh, 24, another Pret à Manger worker, who described a “sustained rumbling” after the intial “pop.” “You had some people screaming. They were saying, ‘There’s an explosion. What’s going on? What do we do?’”
As they ran, a hazy smoke filled the area and for a short while, it rained droplets of mud, which covered everyone.
“I was wondering if anyone was hurt,” said Mr. Yeh, a former marine. “I was also contemplating, ‘What can I do to help?’”
Thomas J. Lueck, Ken Belson, Michael Luo and John Schwartz contributed reporting.
6:55 p.m. | Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a large law firm with offices at 425 Lexington Avenue, at East 43rd Street, was one of many companies to evacuate their workers.
“It sounded at first like thunder, but it just didn’t end. It was a really loud, deep, sustained explosion,” said Andrew T. Frankel, a partner at the firm, who works on the 23rd floor. “We all looked out the window and saw black smoke just billowing up 43rd Street. It was pretty frightening, more for the unknown than anything. Nobody waited for the evacuation warning. Everybody headed for the stairwell and headed out of the building. People were tense, but calm.”
“We did floor sweeps and there’s nobody left in the building except the emergency response team in the lobby,” said an operator who answered calls to employees at the firm.
Nicholas W. Skyles, an art director at The Times, encountered the scene after leaving the 42nd Street shuttle at Grand Central. “People went from standing still to turning and running as fast they could. People were screaming and running,” he said. “The police started ushering people westward. We were covered in brown dirt or debris — it was all over everyone’s faces. There was a pretty big panic.”
Mr. Skyles walked back to his office.
6:40 p.m. | Fire Department officials said that the explosion this evening near Grand Central Terminal appeared to be either a transformer or a manhole explosion and that they had issued four alarms.
Fire officials are reporting that one civilian was injured and taken to Weill Cornell Medical College at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital; the severity of the injuries was unknown.
Service on the 42nd Street shuttle has also been suspended, according to New York City Transit.
“There have been reports of a transformer or some other kind of an explosion near Grand Central,” said Michael S. Clendenin, the spokesman for Consolidated Edison.
The authorities have cleared the block of East 41st Street between Third and Lexington Avenues.
Errol Cockfield, a spokesman for the Empire State Development Corporation, said that smoke or steam was visible from the agency’s offices on the 37th floor of 633 Third Avenue, between 40th and 41st Streets.
“There has been a sustained thundering sound for 15 minutes and steam is billowing into the air,” Mr. Cockfield wrote in an e-mail message. “We can see it from our offices on the 37th floor at 633 Third Avenue. People are running helter-skelter.”
6:25 p.m. | Charles F. Seaton, a New York City Transit spokesman, said that all subway trains on the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 lines were bypassing Grand Central Terminal at the direction of the police.
Paula Forteau, a nanny, said she was at Third Avenue and 38th Street after a supermarket run when “I heard a loud noise, a rumbling noise. Everyone started running downtown. There was one loud noise, and then it just continued. I saw a cloud of white smoke.”
6:18 p.m. | Several office buildings were evacuated around 6 p.m. this evening following what appears to be a transformer explosion that sent thick black smoke billowing around the area, according to news agencies and eyewitnesses.
Police and fire units were sent to the scene.
Caryn Tutino, a news designer for The Times, was waiting for a bus outside the New York Public Library, at Fifth Avenue and 40th Street when the explosion occurred. “All of a sudden, we just heard this explosion and all these people came down running down 41st Street, and screaming,” she said. “It looked like it was coming from Grand Central. I looked down 41st Street and saw a huge black cloud of smoke.” Ms. Tutino said that the people seemed panicked and upset.

Obstructing justice, that's the lame accusation I am making "Wraith".While this is not a court of law, it IS part of a criminal investigation, how could our law enforcement communities NOT be involved here?Are you people lame in the head?
This OP gave specific names and predicted a false flag attack, and I think this explosion is linked to that plot. I am not alone. I think the mission was scrubbed because it was severely compromised in advance on the internet.
I also think that the bias of the moderators here is well known to all, and that they do not represent our attitides or beliefs at all as users of the forum. Maybe you need to look up what the word forum means.
I think this explosion is the result of a timer being set in advance. I beleive base on all available evidence that the tow truck was responding to an abandoned car that exploded and that this is being methodically covered up.
What I am saying is that if they are erasing evidence and a pattern can be established through what they deleted that they are selectively elliminating the one story that is dead nuts on correct, it can be assumed they are IN ON COVERING IT UP. I could be wrong, it could be a coincidence, but life has tought me when you think its a coincidence and unusual events are involved,it ususally isn't.

White House preparing to stage new September 11 - Reagan official
WASHINGTON, July 20 (RIA) - A former Reagan official has issued a public warning that the Bush administration is preparing to orchestrate a staged terrorist attack in the United States, transform the country into a dictatorship and launch a war with Iran within a year.
Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, blasted Thursday a new Executive Order, released July 17, allowing the White House to seize the assets of anyone who interferes with its Iraq policies and giving the government expanded police powers to exercise control in the country.
Roberts, who spoke on the Thom Hartmann radio program, said: "When Bush exercises this authority [under the new Executive Order], there's no check to it. So it really is a form of total, absolute, one-man rule."
"The American people don't really understand the danger that they face," Roberts said, adding that the so-called neoconservatives intended to use a renewal of the fight against terrorism to rally the American people around the fading Republican Party.
Old-line Republicans like Roberts have become increasingly disenchanted with the neoconservative politics of the Bush administration, which they see as a betrayal of fundamental conservative values.
According to a July 9-11 survey by Ipsos, an international public opinion research company, President Bush and the Republicans can claim a mere 31 percent approval rating for their handling of the Iraq war and 38 percent for their foreign policy in general, including terrorism.
"The administration figures themselves and prominent Republican propagandists ... are preparing us for another 9/11 event or series of events," he said. "You have to count on the fact that if al Qaeda is not going to do it, it is going to be orchestrated."
Roberts suggested that in the absence of a massive popular outcry, only the federal bureaucracy and perhaps the military could put constraints on Bush's current drive for a fully-fledged dictatorship.
"They may have had enough. They may not go along with it," he said.
The radio interview was a follow-up to Robert's latest column, in which he warned that "unless Congress immediately impeaches Bush and Cheney, a year from now the U.S. could be a dictatorial police state at war with Iran."

Feds surveyed NYC for radiation, found tainted park, Embassy
WASHINGTON -- Anti-terrorism officials conducted a helicopter survey of
New York City's radiation sources in preparation for a so-called "dirty
bomb" attack - and discovered a Staten Island park with dangerously high
levels of radium, a new report found.
Federal authorities found 80 unexpected "hot spots" around New York
City, according to the Government Accountability Office, the
investigative arm of Congress.
The GAO report released Thursday details a previously undisclosed aerial
anti-terrorism program in New York City, one which may be extended to
other cities worried about the possible release of radioactive material
by terrorists.
The report does not identify which city park had the contaminated soil,
but NYPD officials said it was in Gateway National Park in Staten
Island. The site was closed, and New York has requested federal money to
do a citywide aerial survey every year to update the information.
By creating a map of the city's radiation sources, city officials hope
to be able to respond more quickly in the event of a dirty bomb attack,
know exactly which streets are contaminated and get civilians away.
New York is the first and only U.S. city to conduct a complete aerial
radiological survey, having paid the U.S. Department of Energy $800,000
for the 2005 study.
The helicopters picked up sources of low-level radiation from expected
places, like granite statues and medical isotopes at hospitals, but it
also found dozens of other sources of unexpected radioactivity, the GAO
report found.
"NYPD officials indicated that the survey was tremendously valuable
because it identified more than 80 locations with radiological sources
that required further investigation to determine their risk," the report
said.
At the Staten Island park, sensors detected large quantities of radium
in the soil. Long-term exposure to radium increases the risk of
developing lymphoma, bone cancer and leukemia.
National Park Service spokesman Brian Feeney said the area is a one-acre
piece of the 570-acre Great Kills Park, which is part of the larger
Gateway park.
Feeney said experts assured them after the August 2005 study that the
area posed no public health risk, and said visitors do not go into that
area anyway because of dense vegetation. He did not know if any warnings
had been placed around the site.
The radiation apparently comes from "some piece of industrial equipment,
pieces of old rusty metal. Whatever this equipment used to do, it picked
up radioactivity," he said.
"We keep people out of that area. It's a non-accessible area of the
park, no one can get in there," said Feeney. "There's no health hazard
now, there was never a health hazard to the public."
He said the agency has applied to the Department of Energy for funding
to further survey the site |

Look at the ariel photography of the area of the rocket launcher was found in New Jersey.
People not from the area never realize how close Jersey is to 41st street in Manhatten, its right across the river. Me and another poster have together solved both mysteries. almost 100% certainty. It seems someone fired this anti tank rocket from across the river and it came down on 41st street, about the maximum range of the weapon. Quoting: IDW 269990
