There are only a few ways someone could get info out after leaving an agency. Admitting openly that they are an Ex agent or officer would not be in their mo :).

Everything they do comes under scrutiny, EVERYTHING!
It does'nt have anything to do with regulations. THE DEBRIEFING includes preventative measures to stop this from happening. If that does'nt work, they're dealt with in ways that will stop it. The only way someone in the know from one of those agencies is going to release info, admitting they're and ex agent, or present for that fact, is if they're instructed to. For whatever reason(disinfo, provoking fear for control, so on and so on).
The person as well as their family are kept under closer monitoring and control than any others. It's pretty risky to them and theirs to try such a thing.
