Outrageous. Muslims in one school district are getting a foot bath and a room to pray and no one seems to be suing over that. And kids can show up with all sorts of body parts pierced and any kind of foul tattoos or t-shirts that are disgusting but not this kind of a ring? The courts have gone as crazy as some of the school districts. |

"Until you are willing to organize your friends and neighbors and literally shut down cities - drive at 5mph through the streets of major cities on the freeway and stop commerce, refuse to show up for work, refuse to borrow and spend more than you make, show up in Washington DC with a million of your neighbors and literally shut down The Capitol you WILL be bent over the table on a daily basis." What a bunch of rediculous interference !!! Now if this girl wore a ring that had sharp points on it or shaped like brass knuckles.......the school board might have a reason to say no. But a "ring".....simple ring...not a weapon....not covered with profanity or veiled threats.....it's ludicrous to ban such an item. Maybe if it was shaped like boobs or a penis What's next....school will allow muslims to wear a plastic fake dynamite belt while disalowing a christian for carrying a bible ? I'd love to get my hands on these anti-freedom nutjob administrators. |

The push is on to demonize them as we speak and breathe. But yes scripture warns us this will happen in the last days. Maranatha! |

While I wouldn't allow any religious symbols to be worn, including muslim headscarfs, at least the headscarf is a solid part of their religion. A 'purity ring' is just some new age religion trash with no foundation in the religion. In other words, its just a ring. I have to agree with the court on this one. |

If this happend in the States, she could probably have gotten the ACLU to back her. Although they normally don't get credit for it, they do help kids that want to wear religious symbols at school. You have to go by the uniform rules at the school you attend. Students can be expelled for not wearing proper school uniform....something I struggled with daily as a teenager. I would suggest that the school ban muslim headscarfs though, as France has done. |

This particular uniform policy can be read here -> [link to www.millais.co.uk] JEWELLERY- This is not part of school uniform and MUST NOT BE WORN. Girls with pierced ears may wear one pair of plain ear "studs" - which must be removed for P.E. Other studs including nose and tongue studs are not permitted. |
