Some of these are kind of cute (sperm and egg omelette and squirmer) or true (crumb grinder, lice spreader for middle schoolers). Human trainee: hmm... I know many adults who are still human trainees.
I have a question for you. At what point do you consider children to be no longer children? I know you teach college. I teach secondary ed. We are fond of referring to our students as "little kids in big bodies". There are days when I have the exact same dispute with a student (no, it's not okay to throw a pencil across the room) that I had with my three year old that morning (no, it's not okay to throw cheerios across the table). In fact, I've had those disputes with adults.
When I got certified in Spanish, I got stuck taking a 200 level lit course. What a bunch of dumbasses! I was thinking "these are supposed to be more evolved than my students?" Once, nobody read the assignment and you should have heard the whining "it was too haaarrd. I don't HAAAVVE a dictionary. I can't read two whole pages! WAH!" At the time I had a 6 week old who didn't cry as much. And I wouldn't have dreamed of so blatantly demonstrating my incompetence to a professor. Some of the same complaints we hear about young children who don't know any better could apply to people much older, who should. Behavior in restaurants, stores, litter on roads, rude language in public, showing their underwear. I could go on... |

OffTopic: Maybe somebody can come up with a list of NON-TRADITIONAL uses for a tampon. I can imagine something like paint brush in art class, etc.
I don't know, but when ds pooped in his last diaper during a camping trip, I set him up with a maxipad just to get thru the night.
Hmm I like the paint brush idea: disposable. you could also make some neat looking patterns with the tampax variety. When I found my mother's tampons at about age 10(back when I actually thought pee came out the vagina), I thought they were for keeping you from peeing while on long trips.
