An underground MAIN WATERPIPE in Helsinki was broken today after noon. While the water was pumping from below ground, it broke some of the sidewalks and driveway. The street had to be closed due to the underground damage caused by the water.
I dunno... the infrastructure under Helsinki is really well maintained all the time. There was no frost, no intense heat, no rain, no drought, just a normal average +20 degrees celcius summer day.
This is getting really scary, the second incident in 3 days. I suppose it's fair to say that THE EARTH MOVES???

I'm fascinated by your anagram decoding... do you use software or your brain. Great job either way, CyberRBT!

There probably is software that makes this easy. You just need a dictionary file and then you randomly scramble remaining letters testing for words in the dictionary.
However, i believe my knack for anagrams stems from playing lots of word games in my youth: scrabble, jotto, superghost, and others. I particularly like what i call synergistic anagrams, such as 'old west action' for 'Clint Eastwood'. But sometimes 'synergistic anagrams' can be 'as miscarrying agents'. :)
Anyway, there are others posting to this thread who are MUCH better at solving the topic related puzzles (which rarely employ anagrams).

Also, 'Sioux Center, Iowa' is an anagram for 'IOS Execution War'; IOS is Internetwork Operating System.

A couple things...
Prez Candidate Bill Richardson, I believe, had/has Iowa on his campaign schedule for Aug 3rd.
The GOP straw poll in Iowa on Aug. 11
Bill has a special love of ethanol.
Richardson: "Well, the good news is that I have a record on ethanol. When I was a congressman, I pushed the first initiatives in the Clean Air Act that made ethanol a strong alternative source of energy. And so I believe that I'm going after every state."
A "CISCO" War - IOS, (from "San Francisco") - is an interesting take...

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -- Fire broke out Wednesday on the WWII-era USS Lexington, forcing the staff and visitors to evacuate the aircraft carrier. No injuries were reported.
The fire started around 11 a.m. in a small room that contained old maps and flags aboard the decommissioned carrier, which now serves as a museum, City fire department Capt. James Brown said. He said the fire was under control about an hour later and firefighters were working to clear the smoke.
The Essex-class carrier served in World War II and the wars in Korea and Vietnam before it was decommissioned in 1991.

USS Lexington (CV/CVA/CVS/CVT-16), known as "The Blue Ghost", was an Essex-class aircraft carrier, the fifth United States Naval ship named in honor of the Revolutionary War Battle of Lexington. Laid down as Cabot on 15 July 1941 by Bethlehem Steel Co., Quincy, Mass., the ship was renamed Lexington 16 June 1942, after the loss of Lexington (CV-2) in the Battle of the Coral Sea. She was launched 23 September 1942; sponsored by Mrs. Theodore Douglas Robinson; and commissioned 17 February 1943, Captain Felix Budwell Stump, USN in command.
The crew of the Lexington received the Presidential Unit Citation for heroism in action against enemy Japanese forces, 11 battle stars for major engagements during World War II service, and the other awards.

Another infrastructure oddity. A huge interstate bridge collapses in sections. At least 50 vehicles fall into the water. Work crews were resurfacing one section at the time. Under investigation; no earthquake.
The last time there was a similar bridge collapse was the mothman-related collapse on 1967-12-15 in Point Pleasant, WV (near Charleston). And, this bridge was opened in 1967.
This interstate is also part of the proposed North American Union super corridor from Mexico to Canada.

Oroville, Calif.
A highway overpass that was under construction collapsed Tuesday, crushing a delivery truck and seriously injuring a construction worker who clung to a steel beam as it tumbled 50 feet to the ground.
The truck driver, Robert Sylvester, 45, of Chico, was freed after about 2 ½ hours. He suffered only a sprained ankle and minor cuts.
The construction worker, Jeffrey Doll of Olivehurst, who was on top of the structure when it collapsed, was in serious condition with a fractured pelvis, fractured left elbow and broken lower left leg at a hospital in Chico.

MONTREAL–A lawyer for the provincial transport department says a pothole on the road above an overpass could have caused the deadly collapse that killed five people.
Pierre Arguin brought the pothole to the attention of commissioners at a public inquiry into the collapse on Friday.
Arguin said water could have seeped into the viaduct through the pothole, weakening the concrete and eventually causing the collapse.
The roadway going over the overpass in Laval, north of Montreal, is the responsibility of the city of Laval.
The overpass collapsed on Sept. 30, 2006, crushing to death five people, including a pregnant woman, and injuring six others.
Arguin also rejected previous testimony that the collapse was foreseeable, given the state of the overpass, and could have been prevented.
He said the core sampling suggested by an expert witness would have been destructive and wouldn't necessarily have been successful.
"It's easier to find the degraded areas (of the overpass) once we know exactly where to look, because the overpass has collapsed, than it is . . . when it's in service," Arguin told the commission.
But the lawyer for the firm that designed the viaduct said the bulk of responsibility for the collapse lies with the provincial department.
Patrick Henry said the ministry had at least three occasions to prevent the tragedy – during repair work in 1992, in 2004 when a general inspection was performed and again just minutes before the collapse, when a department worker was dispatched to the scene to check on reports that concrete was falling off the structure.
The commission cannot assign blame for the collapse but will make recommendations aimed at preventing similar tragedies.
It was the second overpass to collapse in the city in recent years. One man was killed in 2000 when another viaduct came down.

Now these higher frequency energies affect other energy systems: money, water, electricity - no matter how energy is translated into the world, it is affected.
