Anonymous Coward User ID: 225509 United States 07/30/2007 09:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Legal Tender (Cash) vs Credit Cards? On every single "Federal Reserve Note" it says on the Note, "This Note is Legal Tender for All Debts, Public and Private" -- note the "Legal Tender" part.
WHERE on a Credit Card or any other form of electronic payment is the phrase "This Note is Legal Tender for All Debts, Public and Private" stated? If that phrase is not stated on the electronic payment or the Credit Card is that electronic payment or Credit Card in fact "Legal Tender" and, if not stated, is it ILLEGAL TENDER?
This is not a joke question. I am deadly serious about this question. Please offer your legal opinion.
Thank you. |

My opinion and 50 cents might get you a cup of coffee, but you need to check out the Visa (I think?) commercial where cashiers get pissed when people don't use their credit card and pay cash instead. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32062I hate that commercial. It makes no sense. Using cash is faster than credit and doesn't slow anyone down. It's those damn credit cards that slow everything up and take too much time. You don't know how many times I have wished there was a "cash only" line at the supermarket. I only use cash. I have no credit cards or bank accounts and never will. Credit cards are for suckers who like to pay extra for everything. |

I never thought about it before but it is VERY interesting!
Wonder what they would do if I were to present a pigs hide as payment? |

WTF?? |
