Quoting: Anonymous Coward 275559SO DID THE NATIVE OF NEW YORK ON 9/10, AND WHEN IT HAPPENED ON 9/11--WELL YOU KNOW THE REST. ARE YOU JEWISH? No, I'm not. However, you can't tell me that Portland is as big of an American icon as NYC. No one gives a shit about Portland in America, much less the Middle East. It's a great town, but not high on the list. |

He managed to successfully fight the DHS and FBI and even sued the gov't and won. Bush knows he is not welcome in Portland. Same for Cheney. Portland would only be a target if the Bush administration was doing the targeting. |

Bush, who has yet to veto a bill during his administration, warned that the United States is sending "mixed signals" by attacking a Middle Eastern company after the ports were run by a British firm for several years. Lawmakers who have called for the deal to be blocked need to "step up and explain why a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard," he said. Portland has maintained itself beautifully in this ridiculous war on terror bullshit and still has medical marijuana and the Death with Dignity Act on the books. They don't like how we do things in Oregon (specifically the liberal leaning Willamette Valley), and they're pissed that they lose every time they challenge us. Fuck 'em. They can nuke us--it'll only bring the beauty of Portland to the international stage, making it even harder to bring us down. |
