I was gone from the Internet for several months and a group site which I had opened for linking pics and such had closed due to inactivity. The computer I had the pic stored on, broken.

There was a certain janderson who posted at glp. His avatar, which is no longer available, looked like a custom avatar of none other than Elton John. It was somewhat troubling, however. Besides a sinister smile (that looked of pure evil), there were a small pair of hands on the legs, that looked to suggest pain and trying to push off. Wish it were available to show you, but I can only describe it.

I once wondered aloud "Does Elton John Post at GLP?" on June 7, 2006, I pointed out the avatar, and some comments made by poster janderson.

I believe Sir Elton has a valid argument. Collaboration is becoming a thing of the past with the modern one man recording studio. In a way, two or more people work synergistically. They critique each other and bring out each other's strengths. Much in the way Sir Elton and Bernie Taupin did creating the duo's timeless rock classics. Let's face it, some of the lyrics in today's music sucks, to put it kindly. Great melodies with lousy lyrics still blows, and vice versa. The songs of yesteryear used to make you think about the meaning of the music and made you use your imagination. Nowadays, it's merely bubblegum for the mind and ears. Imagination need not apply.
