That's just what they're called, in the states they have different levels of alert and you can set.your phone to ignore them. Everything in Canada is 'presidential' level for some reason, which is why you get people from Ontario bitching about them coming at three am every time there is an Amber alert. |

Interestingly there's usually some heads up for me, as I work with people that work with all of the providers and they usually have at least a day's notice to respond to Client concerns when the messages come in.
