I believe that the combination of the weakening holes, the use of the MHD Generator at Augsburg College, if the Generator was activated 2 days prior to the collapse, pans out, and the fact that there seems to be I-beams used, which can buckle, but there was also many U-shaped channels and beams used in this bridges underpinnings, rather than fully enclosed and welded box-beams. U-shaped channels and beams are notoriously known to twist and fail because of the three sides.

I believe the holes put too much stress on the end, then the Augsbury College MHD Generator was activated 2 days before the collapse, 2 days later that shattered the first end in a cloud of concrete dust, then when the whole structure was unbalanced, unstable, and with one end down, the middle collapsed and then the other side collapsed.
