I am so sorry you lost your dog. I lost my dog Scruffy in May of this year. Dogs are wonderful friends. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry :(. Why do these things always happen during the Holiday's?! When my beloved black (long haired) chihuahua died - I was heartsick (I say mine - because he wouldn't even look at my husband) - after he was put to sleep (suddenly - as he got very ill) - our daughter bought us a rescue chihuahua "mix" - this dog loves BOTH of us! - I hate to even think about not having her in our lives. I would not have gotten another dog - but our daughter did this 4 us - right before she moved away. May your spirits be lifted - as I know this weighs so heavy on you right now -

I lost my little guy Mo last February. It hurt so bad. The only thing that helped me was time. I know it's so hard but each day it gets a bit easier and in time you'll reach a place where the good memories will replace some of the pain that you are feeling today. I wish I could give you a hug of comfort. (((hugs)))

I'm sorry OP. I lost my beloved Baxter at the end of June, after 13 years. I know your heartache all too well. And although I have a new puppy (whom I love) now, my heart is still broken and not a day goes by where I don't think of Baxter. It does get a little easier with time, as it has with my previous dogs. But sometimes, there's this one dog that just turns out to be your doggy soul mate, and these are the ones you never get over losing. But take heart, your fur baby will be waiting for you when you arrive, and it will be a joyous reunion!

17 years. Polly.We had such a special bond. She would Cry when

I left the house...we slept together. But, only because of her

suffering, I'm glaD she's in a better place, AND no MORE PAIN!

A dog that I took care of and walked once a week as well as spent about 30 days a year dog sitting just had to be put down on the 19th. I loved that old yellow lab. Her name was Tess and she lived a good life into her 15th year. She was an amazing retriever and simply loved fetching balls and going on long hikes.
As she got older she would still go for a walk but much shorter and you could see that it still made her happy just to get out of the house and be in nature.

My wife was at the house where she lived 2 days after she was put down and my wife swears that she heard ole Tess barking. My wife also heard clinking noises that sounded like her collar. Maybe my wife heard a ghost dog. We like to think that the doggy spirit was lingering in this dimension for a little while before she headed to doggy heaven.

Dog is an animal.

In some cultures it's considered food.

The Almighty knows His creation is important,is to be treated humanely but is not and was not created on the level of His Image and Likeness as humans are.--they are not your children etc
do they risk an eternity in hell the same ?
