Since i dont watch tv or read news papers or listen to radio, ive not been following this case hardly at all.
I heard the news because my family were talking about it, and ive seen a few pictures of the girl around.
But by chance i did watch some tv and the Dad what ever his name is was talking about the case on some program. He came accross to me as a real weirdo!! and very calm and composed in his speech which did not seem right at all. The stuff he was saying freaked me out a bit.
Something is not right. |

Yes. Here's the article, as the plot thickens:
BILLIONAIRE Sir Richard Branson is giving £100,000 ($238,000) to create a fighting fund to help the McCanns to clear their names.
The fund, which will cover both legal and PR expenses, is to seek the support of wealthy businessmen convinced of the Gerry and Kate McCann's innocence.
Sir Richard, who has been in regular contact with the couple since their daughter went missing, hopes it could amass a million pounds.
The money would mean members of the McCann family could drop plans to sell their houses to pay legal costs.
"Sir Richard wants to ensure the McCanns get access to the best legal advice," a source close to Sir Richard said.
"He has a good instinct on these things. It will help to ensure that they get a fair hearing and that all of the facts become available."
Sir Richard's intervention comes as an advertising campaign will be waged as part of the search for Madeleine in defiance of police investigation into her parents.
The Find Madeleine Fund said it would continue spending money on the hunt even if the Portuguese authorities charged the McCanns. |

'Australian actors Cate Blanchett and Russell Crowe have been tipped to star in a movie about missing English toddler Madeleine McCann... The Daily Express said studio executives were "beginning to whisper" about possible A-list names to play Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, who have been named as suspects in the case by Portuguese police.'

Anonymous Coward User ID: 301111 9/20/2007 9:35 PM | | Re: Madeleine McCann - RFID | Quote | ...perhaps the most significant figure circling the McCanns is Clarence Mitchell, the former senior advisor to the government seconded to the Foreign Office to replace Sheree Dodd. He was with the family for a month, overseeing the five-nation tour of Europe and Morocco; and was instrumental in facilitating the meeting with Pope Benedict XVI in St Peter's Square. On September 17th he left his post at the Central Office of Information- for which he was reportedly paid £70,000 a year- to re-join the McCanns on a full-time basis. According to The Times, he has been employed not by the family, but by 'one of their wealthy backers.' In a statement outside the couple's home on September 18th, he said: 'Given the inter-governmental sensitivies surrounding Kate and Gerry's case, my position as an impartial civil servant working for the British government became untenable from the moment I accepted their proposal. To speak freely on their behalf, therefore, I have resigned my position as Director of the Central Office of Information's Media Monitoring Unit based within the Cabinet Office in Whitehall... I wish to stress most definitely that from now on I in no way speak on behalf of the British government.'

21/09/2007 By Candice Krieger
A FORMER national secretary of the Zionist youth movement Habonim may be the only independent witness in the case of missing Madeleine McCann.
Manchester-born Jeremy Wilkins, known as Jes, was staying at the same resort as the McCann family in Praia de Luz, Portugal, when Madeleine, then aged three, went missing on May 3 this year. The TV executive, who was head of Habonim in 1994 but was involved in the movement for many years before, saw Madeleine’s father Gerry McCann just minutes after he checked on the girl and her twin brother and sister for what turned out to be the last time...'

Sir, The failure to find any trace of Madeleine McCann rightly troubles millions of us, in the UK and in continental Europe. No one can now doubt the urgent need to have hard, fact-based evidence to replace the rumour and innuendo so far being pushed.
One important, but apparently unused, means of securing it could be the UK's intelligence community, in particularly a little-known agency, JARIC, the Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre, based at RAF Brampton.
JARIC is a world leader in analysing CCTV, aerial and satellite imagery, collected from all over the world. It should be ordered both to overfly the target area of Praia da Luz immediately and collect any aerial imagery of it that can be found, dating back to May 2, 2007 (the day before Madeleine went missing), as well as any images that may be extant. It should also be instructed to examine any satellite images of the target zone for the period after May 2. It is perfectly possible that the European Commission's satellites which track fishing boats may also be able to shed light on Madeleine's fate. JARIC will quickly tell us.
JARIC cannot task itself; it must receive its instructions from the Prime Minister or from the Ministry of Defence. They should instruct JARIC and its other colleagues in the British intelligence community to intervene at once.

It seems very peculiar to me that this couple can command all this media attention and so much help from so many world famous people. There are many thousands of other kids who go missing (crying shame on us people) yet their parents don't get a 100th of this support.
I don't know why, but I am minded of the horrific and tragic miscarriage of justice done to English solicitor Sally Clark. Her babies died accidental/cot deaths and yet this woman was hounded by the whole might of the British establishment and it killed her in the end.
She was apparently 'well-connected' (family of senior police officers/lawyers) and yet despite the obvious facts that the evidence was very skewed (deliberately?) against her and that the 'expert witness' has now been struck off as a doctor, no one stepped up to the plate for her (apart from a few brave lawyers).

McCanns? I pray the little girl turns up safe and well. It is horrific for any parent to lose a child, unimaginably vile. They're unimaginably well-connected is all I can say. |

Of all the people to step into the McCann mystery it had to be Richard Branson - son of Bran - husband of Joan Templeman, and owner of Virgin. The Virgin - Mary - and the tower - Madeleine. The tower is the White Tower (where the Tower of London stands now and where the little lad's body was found in the Thames a few years back.). Here, legend tells us, the head of Bran the Blessed is buried - which again connects us to Templars - and again there comes the connection to Diana. |

"Surgically implanting an RFID chip under a child’s skin seems a little Orwellian, though putting it into the fabric of clothes seems more acceptable. Are parents likely to go to such extremes to ensure kids are safe, or is it a step too far?"

IT wouldn't be a surgical implant... just an injection. They do it to dogs and cats already. Kids and ultimately US are next. |

No chips needed, just parents who don't leave a 3 year old and 2 babies alone in a hotel while overseas..
