I remember an article from the riots where the cops were pulling back and told the merchants "you're on your own"... In a riot situation, mob mentality takes over and horrendous violence can occur...be prepared to respond in kind...

The gang's and rioters tended to be made up of pussy's.. they only preyed on the helpless and ran away in fear at the first sign of strength.

I'm very much 'anti-violent & anti-weapon' but can easily understand why shopkeepers & Koreans would open fire like that. There's nothing more scary than mob violence/anarchy, which I've seen happen in Belfast & Dublin. I had a gun put to my head when I worked in a shop in Dublin, very frightening.. & I think I 'might' have been capable of using a firearm if I'd had one, maybe 'not!' But, when armed police arrived mins later.. I was hoping they'd catch up with them & shoot them dead. They caught them days later in a shoot-out, no-one injured, but the 2 fuckers only served a few weeks in jail for armed robbery! Now I live back in England, where 'kids' have machine guns to 'play..?!' with.. it's mental. I think Businesses should be allowed to be 'armed.' even homeowners, like they do in Switzerland. I greatly admire the police for going after gunmen. Black people should NOT be allowed near firearms, they're idiots who use them like toys, with no remorse for their victims. Blacks are just too aggressive!!

Does anyone else remember what brought those riots to an end??

When I had to go to a black area of town, I carried a small pistol.
The riots were as bad as it gets, new fires popping up every hour or two and the cops, as usual, did NOTHING to help the citizens, esp. the Korean shop owners.

The way I see it is that it's freedom of speech, and like I heard before, rights are not there to protect popular speech. Now, if they posted 100 new threads a day about how bad black people are, or took the slightest opportunity to bash blacks, that'd be different.

surprised as a new viewer of GLP to see my clip at the top this morning over my first cup of coffee. thank you for picking this up and posting it.

i'm sure dozens or hundreds of fellow viewers here lived through the riots, and experienced very different things.

a few notes from my perspective:

1) trouble makers in the LA riots spanned all races, from black to white and every color in between.

2) law enforcement focused on protecting the wealthy enclaves.

3) opportunists tended to stay local (ie: trashed their own neighborhoods). they didn't want to travel far w/carloads of stolen goods; grab and stash appeared to be the motto.

4) gangs created most of the violence, usually with weaponry that could overpower the police (eg: carjacking a fire engine w/AK47's). they had/have poor aim, which was the good and bad news. they try to make up for that by pure statistics, using tech9's and other, easy to fire automatics.

5) being well documented, i assume the mob psychology was studied by the NWO. add WTO/Seattle to that video library.

6) National Guard was a psychological weapon employed to intimidate. see many clips of Beverly Hills being looted?

7) for lack of a better description, you can easily see how Service to Self and Service to Other groups awaken and self-segregate. i know, and i won't say it.

8) my final, humble takeaway: follow your spirit. i've never owned a gun, but i can tend a garden, and wash dishes like a madman. i think i am Service to Other, and have repeatedly risked my life to save others (ocean rescue/highway assistance). i have protectors, just as i protect. my neighbors and i, as ready as we can be.

I make no apologies for expressing my honest opinion. I'm NOT racist or anti-black. To say blacks are put in a position to be aggressive & violent is 'no' excuse at all. You've a right to be emotional & annoyed like anyone else, even at my opinions. But, the statistics speak for themselves, that most violent crime is committed by blacks..& more increasingly these days by Moslem's, State Terrorism, Gangsters/Terrorists. Here in London, every day, blacks are involved in shootings, cos black people have no regard for life whatsoever.. they're very trigger happy here. Us British are civilized, not a load of black savages running amock stealing, beating, raping, hurting & killing people. A lot of black people born here in the UK are now civilized, decent, intelligent, peace-loving folks who are great to get on with. But I think black gun toting criminals should be put back into slavery, to be whipped into shape!

Yeah, me too. BUT.......they were rioting BECAUSE OF RACE. That makes it all the more annoying to watch and is also th reason why I posted that I was glad to see them have to eventually go back to their lifestyles. That is justice enough for me.

FYI, I have a few very good friends who are black. One of them admits that he considers some blacks to be normal people that just happen to be black, but there are others that are just "******". Those are the words of a black guy.

Same goes for whites and other races too. There are white peope who are just normal people who happen to be white. Then, there are whitetrash, rednecks,...etc.

Anarchy is not synonymous with chaos or nihilism. Fuck all of you slaves of the government that think it is. There might have been a mix of anarchy at the beginning of the riots where people in Crenshaw decided that they rather control their own neighborhood instead of having police come in there and harass them, but it turned into a racism thing which started all of the chaos and nihilistic behavior.
