Bloomberg explaining how healthcare will “bankrupt us,” unless we deny care to the elderly.

“If you show up with cancer & you’re 95 years old, we should say...there’s no cure, we can’t do anything.

A young person, we should do something. Society’s not willing to do that, yet.”

No, a person has every right to get treatment at the hospital irrespective of his wage. The real problem with the healthcare is paying for somebody who can't afford to get medical treatment.

If I got cancer at 95, I wouldn't want to be subjected to being poke, prodded, and cut up....I'd call it a good run and start making arrangements.....

The treatment would prob kill a 95 year old anyway.

95 years is kind of old, but this kind of shit is showing up in msm lately.

In Belgium, just last week it was "are 80 years old+ worth reanimating?" in all msm news.

I definitely see an agenda here.

They really need to make a suicide pill and allow people to take it if they desire and to die with dignity.

They allow too many to suffer. That's not right either.
There needs to be humane options.

The issue is the slippery slope. What if it is 65 if the treatment cost x amount of money. Bloomberg ain't God and this sounds a lot like death panels.

Tell that to the guy that's 112. There was an article about him the other day. No, this is wrong. We may think it's pointless, but where does it stop after this? No, I think this would be opening a floodgate. Who knows where it could lead.

“Not willing...yet”

Maybe in about 17 years Mr. Bloomberg.

You can be that very first 95 year old that is denied treatment.

He turned 78 yesterday.

We will all be watching in 2037 when you get denied medical care...so mini Mike , are you ready to hear, ”there’s no cure, we can’t do anything.”

Bloobybird is 78 years old. How about we make 78 the cut off and deny him whatever he needs.

Because just because.

it's already.

most countries do not perform coronary operations over 65/70 etc etc

is not just a cost, it'pointless as they have very few changes to survive surgery.

The fedgov has been limiting med care for YEARS already. I suppose Death Panels are held in secret.

A dear relative of mine who had paid into Medicare for almost her entire life got cancer at age 75. Year was 2011.

Medicare said, "Biopsy inconclusive. Probability of survival low. NO REIMBURSEMENT FOR TREATMENT OF ANY KIND EXCEPT HOSPICE".

Luckily she had a rich relation who paid for some treatment and kept her alive for 6 more months. She went on "hospice" with a morphine pump and was dead in six days.

Yet, if an illegal alien crackhead shows up in the ER with an OD, they will spend half a million to save him!

Not right.

95 is a starting point. He knows there would be some agreement with that number. 85 people would have totally revolted, this is planned. It is a slope that will become slippery in short order.

Well the key word there is "we". If "we" are providing care for someone, by virtue of a forced participation system using taxes or whatever, then yeah "we" will be bankrupted, and "we" who are providing care are in a position to deny that which we are providing. The only people who are involved in a 95 year old with cancer are the patient, the doctor, and the insurance company possibly, which has its coverage pretty much in writing. Having "we" involved there is a flawed, immorally bankrupt (speaking of bankrupt) system. So what do you expect a proponent of a bankrupt system to say?

May have just lost say the ‘over 85 crowd.’

People like to think they are gonna keep going and don’t want anyone to take away that hope.

First the blacks, then the aged, who’s next Mike?

It’s only February.

Long way to November.

You need to refine your wording to "most countries do not force the taxpayers to pay for..." Countries do not perform coronary operations period, it's how far they are willing to go to force other people to do it and pay for it.
