I heard an MD lecture years ago, that coffee is the only poison that we regularly put into our bodies that would kill us, if not for the remarkable reaction our bodies take to counter-act it.

He also said that coffee completely destroys any nutritional intake within an hour of it's ingestion.

This doctor was wrong. All current research says coffee has almost no negative effects, and many positive effects. Not sure where this article is coming from, but it is way off on the current science.
