The movie itself is creepy enough with all that's going on now.

The fact that they don't want people to see it now is way creepier.

Could the government have asked the studio to take down all trailers for the movie?

The studio is likely notifying YouTube of the copyright strikes for unauthorized uploads and having YouTube take them down.

But it is being taken down from legitimate movie websites and where is the official trailer from the studio then?
