There are no contradictions in the Bible. Catholics have been raised from day one to trust their priest over the Bible, often drummed in with fear. They need a new religion not a new Bible. The RCC did not invent Christianity / Bible(11).

Now immediately I noticed the problem with Zeitgeist was the fact that the maker of this "documentary" has the religious knowledge of a poodle. He took many religious figures and gave them basic parables to Jesus Christ despite the fact the most of those aren't looked in depth or are just grossly inaccurate.
Take for example Jesus's Birthday. If you have common knowledge you will now that Jesus's birthday was set on December 25th to replace that of Bacchus. Jesus's birthday was not, in fact, on December 25th. Yet, he states throughout the film that his Birthday IS on December 25th. When in fact it says in the Bible that there were "shepherds in the field". This would indicate that Jesus was most likely born during the spring as well all should know that in that period Sheep did not graze in the winter. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 296543

I'm not religious, and not even christian, but that movie, zeitgeist, is absolutely full of bullshit! First of of inventing things about other religions (the only true things are about the cult of Mithra, but historically is not clear if it influenced christianism, ot the opposite - or maybe both). And anyway it's also known that many festivities are placed in the same dates as ancient pagan holidays.
About the second part, it's fully denied by official studies (and with "official" i don't mean from the us government, but from scientific organization). I have a link of a nice website, in italian if someone understand it, that summarize all of them (www.attivissimo.net click on 11 settembre).
The 3rd part, well if it's true, so there are many families with more money than Bill Gates! Come on go to study financial economy and "discover" the truth....

This is indeed a facinating thread. I see two trends developing here. The pro Jesus crowd gives references and links, the anti-Christers call names and cuss.interesting.
When I saw this movie I was fascinated, disgusted, curious and more. I have been researching the problem of the central bank for years and agree the conclusions of part two for the most part. Part three is rather incredulous to believe, however quite thought provoking. Do we really think the entire world press can let these types of accusation sit unanswered, are they just too ludicrous to even address?

I wouldn't laugh at your God, but honestly, who is he? He is just a fabrication of your mind. Christians love to tell us, "God loves you." Yet, if you make the mistake of questioning his existence or don't believe in his Son (who is also God, by the way) they immediately imagine you burning forever in some big lake of fire. Now that is love all right. Honestly, religion is stupid. Christians think all Muslims burn forever. Muslims return the favor and imagine Christians burning in their version of torment. Yes, I have done much research. In fact, I used to be one of you Christians. After that I began to believe in Universalism which says that all are saved. I no longer believe the Bible is the word of God because of the research I have DONE. So smarty pants, just because my research led me in a different direction than yours did, that doesn't make you more enlightened or better than I am. I don't believe that Jesus is God, apparently you do. Everyone is entitled to their own opionion, but know this. It is ONLY an opinion. I don't know anything, I am just a person. You don't know anything either, even though you are sure of what you think you know. Well, you can be sincere but you can be sincerely wrong. Maybe you have too much pride, thinking you are so much better than all of us "uneducated" non-Christians. Think again. Most non-Christians used to BE Christians and came out of the religion because it makes no sense.
You tell me about your wonderful God when the Old Testament tells us that he instructs people to bash infants heads against rocks, tells men to rape women and instructs people that everyone who works on a Sunday should be instantly killed. You don't know your Bible apparently, or maybe you didn't study it enough because the God portrayed in that book is a monster. I am not saying I don't believe in God. I do believe in God, just not that monster that is in the Bible. And let's face it, that is the only God you know. You live your life trying to make excuses for this God. Maybe you should read your Bible again, this time take a notice to the Scripture that portrays God as a monster.
