SInce when is readiness=to fear...there are countless tails of little old ladies defending themselves with weapons..one old gal slept with a shotgun next to her in bed (high crime area) and blew the head off a guy who came into her room expecting her to be a defenseless old lady he intended to rape (like he had others) at gun point...boy did he get a surprise...then there is the old lady with the WALKER who shot the tires out of a car of men who had just robbed her barn and were fleeing...a 357 magnum I believe...they took off on foot but were easily found by the cops....ha, fleeing from an 84 year old great grandmother who had just blown their tires to hell and back..did she sound afraid to YOU?

In a perfect world no one would need to protect themselves and the lion would lay down with the lamb...now you tell me, how are you going to convince the bad guys to do that? I'm waiting to hear a good plan.

and people who are serious about using them for defense purposes TRAIN in ways that simulate stress. Believe it or not, many many gun owners do more than just buy a gun and sit it on a table. I did, and so have most others I know, excluding those with war experience of course. I know men who could shoot a pimple off the ass of a flea at 600 yards...and if you want to get educated about serious gun owners and shooters, take a field trip out to your local rifle and gun club. You will be surprised.

I would like to use .45 ACP rounds, but it's quite an expensive round to put through a gun. I prefer .9mm parabellum ammo (I have a Taurus 92 for home defense) but lately it's been in short supply around here, I've had to settle for .9mm luger--less accurate but better than telling an intruder "please don't hurt me!"


When your old enough to own one I suggest you check your cartridge designations. 9mm Luger and 9mm Para. are the same round.
