Rev. 17:8

"And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."

Here the city of Jerusalem is likened to Sodom, and to Egypt
(i.e., sin).

So I doubt if this predicted earthquake, if it occurs, is to only swallow up one "Islamic abomination" among the entire overall abomination.

The "holy land" is not "holy" anymore. All of those OT types and foreshadows are replaced by spiritual realities.

No more holy places; no more holy temples; no more holy artifacts; no more holy physical nations; no more holy foods; no more holy days ...

Look to Christ ...
