What the hell is rising in the South East, I'm in Ohio - Huge ball of Light?
I happened to be up late tonight, I live in the Cleveland Ohio area, At around 5 Am I went out to look at the Stars because it was a beautiful night out and you could see a lot of Stars.
Coming up over the Horizon is this huge Ball of Light, It is moving from the Horizon and going "UP" It is about 10 Times the size of the brightest Star in the sky and about Ten times as bright as well, Anybody know what this object is, It will be getting light outside soon so it seems this object is only visable in the Night sky here for an hour or so in the very late Night/early Morning

I asked the same thing to the ones who know, because my mind said Venus but it was humunguosly BIG. They told me is Venus... but why so BIG ????????. i m in c. fl. |

This is the OP, Venus? Man, I don't think so, I could be wrong but I am 39 years old, I have never seen anything so massive in the night sky, |

Well. A member of family saw a bright object in the eastern sky about 5 am or later yesterday morning. Venus doesn't rise until 4:50, and he said it was high in the sky at an angle of about 45°. The only other bright star at that angle in the morning is Sirius. He thought it may have been Venus, but maybe not.
Is this object that high in the sky by other people's observations? |

Thats funny because ive heard reports around here of the same exact thing at around 4.AM in england. So bright it hurts your eyes. I told them it was Venus(without having seen it myself) because it usually is in those sightings, but they say it was like a securitylight or spotlight.
Im going to have to set my alarm and look out for this thing. |

I'm in Ohio also and at that time Venus was a huge, blazing ball, just above the horizon. As someone above noted, the large apparent size is an illusion. Look again about 20 minutes later and it will appear much smaller but still very bright. |

But i really think your onto something OP, only because it confirms what ive already heard from others that have seen it.

One question to anyone who has seen this object. Have you seen how bright venus can get and was this brighter than venus. And did it appear to have a tail? |
