Re: Breakthrough! MMS The Miracle Mineral Supplement of the 21st Century update mms2 pg 51
If it works so well, then why aren't the millions of AIDS patients in Africa well again?

I will believe it when they start walking around, are uninfected, and no one else gets it from them.

Any serious cancer patients cured with it? Anybody with an advanced cancer of any sort?

If it worked, people would be screaming for it. So far, that is not happening.

I assume these "scientific clinical trials" have been written up in a peer-reviewed journal like Lancet, JAMA, or NEJM; but for some strange reason, I don't find any such.

Hmmmmmm.

as usual, duncan...a sarcastic assumption.

do you really think that your critical analysis of ANY thread is determined to be of import to ANYONE but yourself?

your position is self evident
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

So what you and your potty-mouth friends are admitting is that there haven't been any trials -- just some person claiming to be in Africa somewhere who claims that some chemical did something and magically "cured" a whole bunch of people in a jail and -- if you buy his book -- you can save your life and that of your loved ones, too!

I mean, that's really believable.

either you are part of the problem or part of the solution...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

Are you saying that believing every crackpot thing you read on the internet and then paying money to read some bull-shit is "part of the solution"?

I'll tell you what the "problem" is, Coward. It's people like you that haven't a clue about medicine, biology, organic chemistry, or anything else -- and then sucking up these "miracle cures" like a vacuum cleaner sucks up dust.

Your only solution is to make some con-artist richer.

Good Ole Duncan...kind of missed ya. You and idol always contributed thoughtful posts to the forum that at least gave one cause for additional investigation to the claims being made. In fact, you are many times accurate in your arguments (since this forum is rife with bullshit), but almost as many times as you offered strong argument, I recall just as many instances where you were simply condescending and rude without contributing anything of real substance. This, I believe, is the case here. I'm relatively confident that you have no real argument or data to refute the claims or information being offered.

While I agree there have likely been no "sanctioned" clinical trials on chlorine dioxide, there have been numerous studies over the years on various applications including animal studies. None of the studies I've found so far, at least, reflect Chlorine Dioxide as being harmful (at the concentrations mentioned), and all appear to support very positive findings relating to the compound's efficacy in all cases - regardless of application.

[link to toxnet.nlm.nih.gov]

From the OP's post (and the inventor's site) it also sounds as though the "clinical trials" are well underway in South Africa. Now, while the author could well be the snake-oil-peddler you claim, his claims warrant at least further investigation before making the blanket statements you've thrown out here. IF his claims, and those of others using the formula, are verified as being accurate - this truly is a phenomenal and important discovery. Hell, even if 10% of the people claiming cured by this product are truly in remission or cured after taking the product, it's still a major breakthrough.

Subsequently, until you do the investigation, you're just as full of shit as you've been in past arguments.

I will say that the topical version of CLO2 has been available for years, and has been proven safe and effective as a powerful antibiotic. Why don't you try that form, and if it works - maybe there's something to all of this. I might just for giggles...

first: I am not sure what you regard a 'potty mouth'....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

See the post immediately above your first post to me (or the one above this one). This is typical of the local "researchers" who, lacking any evidence or even the ability to lay out a coherent response like you do, sink to dirtbag-speak.

second: Looks like your insecure button got pushed.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

I don't see it that way. If I were insecure about myself, I might try to hide behind the "anonymous coward" thing, too.

third: my name is anonymous coward but you can call me coward if that helps you feel better about yourself
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

I think that your not being able to identify yourself -- or preferring not to -- says more about you than it does about me.

fourth: I do have a pretty good understanding of how this mixture works. I have worked with sodium chlorite for about 3 years now in a lab...albeit in application to metallurgical procedures..not as a mineral supplement.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

As an engineer, I know how AISI 4130 steel behaves, yet I don't know squat about it as a mineral supplement either. Since neither of us knows anything about its medicinal properties, it becomes all the more important for us to get some evidence from people who actually do understand such properties, and I doubt very seriously you'll find any of them here.

fifth: to you, the trials need to be published, peer reviewed and then ACCEPTED by the establishment BEFORE you will step up to the plate and 'risk' your 'reputation'
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

Perhaps it's because I was trained in college and for 30 years in aerospace to look for evidence and not wishful thinking.

you certainly could be called a coward.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

I say who I am. I post with my true name, and my company, and my e-mail. I am not ashamed or embarrassed of who I am. If you equate skepticism with "cowardice" then you must equate people who don't believe in the tooth gay or Santa Claus as cowards, too.

sixth: you are the common critic that makes claims that you KNOW this a sham WITHOUT evidence at all.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

Do you have an example?

BUT ..you will DEMAND evidence from those that have experienced the efficacy of the product. ...and until they can PROVE it to you on YOUR terms,...then it is a SHAM by default.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

I don't demand anything, kid. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If you say you have a 1998 Harley Davidson, I will accept that on its face value, because lots of people have them. If you say you have a 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, I won't believe it until I see it.

There has never in the history of the human race -- at least as far as I or any scientist knows -- a mineral or supplement which does Sodium chlorite is claimed to do. Now some fool says it will cure just about every disease extant with no evidence whatsoever, and a bunch of other naifs jump on it out of wishful thinking.

can you see the flaw in your attack of nearly everything on this forum?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 232837

I am willing to believe anything for which there is some sort of concrete evidence. Unlike most of the people on this forum I do not confuse that which is with that which I want it to be.

I hardly consider that a flaw.

Any new approach to actually CURING illnesses is worth taking a look at. The big business pharmaceutical poison way has proven itself to be more damaging to people's health (and wallets) than beneficial and no wonder there is a growing distrust towards it.

There is so much money involved in it that there is no incentive to investigate new and cheap ways such as MMS claims to be.

So I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for "scientific clinical trials" of it to be accepted in "peer-reviewed journals", which are just the bastions of the establishment that gets rich off keeping the status quo. As the saying goes, the pharmaceutical industry and doctors thrive on you getting sick and staying sick.

If some clever guy out there discovers something like MMS and says it works big time and shows how you can make it yourself for small change, I will not hesitate to check it out. I would not dismiss it haughtily off hand just because I have a 30 year brainwash in establishment thinking behind me, like some on this forum.

... no, and not really. I've never even thought about mixing it with anything until I read this thread. Then too though, I haven't been, and I just don't get, sick either... however... I have always pretty much also taken, and along with me daily vitamin intake, some honey and vinegar tabs as well. So maybe I've been getting a certain amount of mixture without even really knowing it too.

Re: Breakthrough! MMS The Miracle Mineral Supplement of the 21st Century update mms2 pg 51
it seems to me that more basic knowledge

would ease this conversations in this thread

please read this carefully ..

>>The MMS solution is 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water. You can produce chlorine dioxide with a single drop, when an “activator” of vinegar, lemon juice, or a 10% solution of citric acid is added. The latter two activators are recommended for people with Lyme disease.

“Applications” of chlorine dioxide range from 1 drop to a maximum of 15, except in life critical situations, where the maximum may be doubled. A “maintenance application” is six drops, with ¼ teaspoon of activator added. After adding the activator, the chemical reaction that turns sodium chlorite into chlorine dioxide takes only about three minutes.

The activating ingredient in vinegar that makes the change possible is acetic acid. It also sets the stage for what happens when the chlorine dioxide ions enter the bloodstream. This weak acid acts like a blasting cap by lowering the pH of the chlorine dioxide, without setting it off.

The natural pH of sodium chlorite is 13. Adding vinegar, lemon juice, or citric acid) creates about 3 mg of unstable but still harmless chlorine dioxide.<<

[link to phaelosopher.wordpress.com]

understanding this you can easily get your lifetime
mms storage for some few bucks, as this NaClO2
chemical with typically around 7,5% solution is
available in 20-100litres plastic bags at costs of
approx. 3 to 4 $/litre..

Usually you can calculate 20 drops matching 1 ml..
or 20 000 drops equal to one litre.
Thus it calculates according to the above excerpt
of the mms article ref. to a 28% NaClO2 solution
that you must calculate the referring numbers of drops
now with 3,733 because it will be probabely easier to
obtain this low concentrated solution.
So I repeat this part of the above excerpt ref.
the application datas..now with the revised numbers
of drops in case you use a 7,5% NaClO2 solution..
>>“Applications” of chlorine dioxide range from 4 drop to a maximum of 56, except in life critical situations, where the maximum may be doubled. A “maintenance application” is 22 drops, with 1/2 teaspoon of activator added.<<

I hope this could be a little bit of help for further
discussions..

my quite personally ideas and impressions from that stuff
are not so bad..
however the PR setup is sometimes beyond any acceptable
serious approach..
that's well I think the main reason for controversy
in this thread..

Excuse me, as a newbie, for butting in, but I'd just like to say this:

Very nicely put, Anonymous!

Yes! I agree!

Sceptical (narrow-minded?) types such as Duncan never fail to amuse. They flatter themselves on being "scientific" and yet will invariably refuse to take the very first step that any true scientist would take - that of conducting an experiment themselves - and if this isn't cowardice I don't know what is.

A scientist who refuses to run a simple experiment himself? What sort of "scientist" is that? As for his namby-pamby demand for "peer-reviewed articles" and "clinical trials," it's well-known that most of that stuff is phony today anyway; it's paid for and it's phony.

Personally I admire those with the courage to try things for themselves since only by experimenting do we find out whether things will work for us.

On the other hand, I despise those who are fearful of anything new, and who demand the assurance of "experts" before daring to undertake anything at all.

If I'd listened to the "experts" I'd have been dead long ago. As it is I've tried various alternative remedies in the past that would no doubt sound crazy to brainwashed mainstream types such as Duncan but that in fact worked wonders.

Keep up the good work, Anonymous! It's clear that you're not the coward here.
