Sun Simulators are ubiquitous instruments in any lab where you make or study photovoltaics or objects in space environment.

For instance, ESS has a huge sun simulator.

I have been recording the Sun's emission spectrum for the last 41 years. See? I can make unsubstantiated claims, too.

excuse me it shows as blue with a pinkish aura. I had just gotten up. coffee in effect now.

Red in the morning, sailors take warning. Red at night, sailor’s delight.

and when gazing it is blue... has been for years. some of us are old enough to have grown up with yellowish sun...

it will appear blue at those times. I sun gaze regularly... like the other blue stars of Pleiades now.

The main circle of it is pinkish white and them it shimmers with blue and yellow added to the pink and while. The shimmers are mostly around the circle while the circle itself barely shimmers and stays very white.

I will be 60 this year and remember very well the sun used to yellow.

whats changed is it is becoming helium dominant instead of hydrogen dominant.. because the solar system is entering eternity so to speak.. this is the result of cosmic energies we have entered in our long cycle.

I am 72. My guess in memory is the change to white began perhaps mid 90's ...
