HUGE BRIGHT STAR IN THE EASTERN SKY!

I'm on the east coast of Canada, can see it more brightly around 3 or 4 in the morning. Bright as hell. Just look to the east before the sun comes up.

IT IS JUPITER, THE LARGEST PLANET....AND SLIGHTLY ABOVE IT IS VENUS. JUPITER WILL BE IN THE EARLY EASTERN SKY UNTIL MAY 2013. WITH A GOOD PAIR OF BINOCULARS YOU MAY EVEN BE ABLE TO SEE FOUR OF ITS MOONS.

Ten seconds checking with a skymap program tells me you're looking at Venus.

23rd Feb - 43 deg north - left of the moon - very bright. Yup, Venus.

If you've never seen Venus shining like that, I can only assume you've not spent much time looking at the sky. It gets like that regularly, and even if it's quite nice, it's nothing to get your knickers in a twist about.


Why not take the time to find out, instead of making wild guesses. Try Stellarium or Google Sky - they'll identify anything you're looking at.


LOL - and how do you stop hundreds of thousands of amateur astronomers round the workld from talking about it? If there was anything weird in the sky it would be big news. And not everyone takes their orders from the US - plenty of countries would be only to happy to expose something liek this if any government was trying to cover it up.


Not very likely, since there's no such thing - although if you're one of the "believers" you'll no doubt be lying on your death bed saying "any day now..."

How come every fucking thing you people see in the night sky is eather Venus or planet x , what the fuck is up with that shit? stop it fucking stop it ! now . if you pay close attention you will see that it's not nether one of the two that some of you are calling it, from were i live i can see venus and that not it. now rather you guy's want to except it or not or wait until it's lands or be disclose any fucking day now it's up too you . but it's a mother ship UFO! WHY because i have been watching this mass object since early this year when it caught my eye and @ first i said the same thing some are saying , shit people from here eveing was saying what the hell is that in night sky and started caling the local news stations and as i watched the news and the fucking weather man goes oh and if you guys are wondering because we have been getting a lot of calls asking whats that bright color star in the sky , and he goes its venus and most took his word for , shit i even did but as time went on i notice that bright color changing star was getting bigger and it was moving. and venus was not moving i repeat venus was not moving! i watched this big mother fucker move this whole year from one place too another i kid you not! and when you see it what catches your attention is the the brightness of it and colors which i must say are beautiful and like nothing i ever saw in the night skys oh and of course the size of this ship. now planet x is out there and getting closer but thats not it and when we do finally see that MONSTER which will be this coming spring , we will see one HUGE star and 3 i say 3 moons with it. so folks get ready because THE BIGGEST PARTY THIS WORLD HAS EVER SEEN IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE in a matter of weeks you will see people out at night until the morning looking at this mother ship as it gets closer too earth and there will be panic among the masses.. simple folks the next 2 yrs will change life as we know starting NOW! its going to be alot of stuff thats going to happen !!!

Never seen such a huge brighted star, can someone explain?
