Pretty weird. I don't understand the source of the power driving the electric motor. I wish the inventor explained this on camera.

It appears to be a perpetual-motion type motor driven by magnetism. What's odd about it is that his demonstration car appears to run on a single 12v battery.

The 1989 prototype uses a horizontal shaft with several magnets on it. Above the shaft are four vertical spring-loaded pistons with a magnet on the end closest to the shaft. Turning the hand crank spins the horizontal shaft and the magnetic spring-loaded pistons move up and down to trigger the motion of the shaft and the magnetic force field. Once the shaft is put into motion, it continues to spin until a brake is applied.

Instead of moveable pistons, the latest model of the motor uses and electronic system and stationary magnets to start and control the motion of the shaft. Consequently, the only moving part in the motor is the horizontal shaft. In the current model, the shaft turns in bearings, but Reed said the mass-produced model will not have the bearings. Instead, the shaft will be magnetically suspended inside the motor casing. Suspending the shaft means there will be nothing to wear out, or make noise, Reed said.

Where do we stand today, I believe that what has been hidden is coming to light and would like to know more about this.

the source of the power driving the motor is the 150V that he supplies to it after spinning it a few to get it going.

It's a very low friction high efficiency motor capable of storing potential (150V by the looks of it)

Once charged it can continue to discharge with excellent efficiency.

Probably this technology has advanced the efficiency of electric car motors. No magic, and nothing beyond science here tho.

There will be friction on the road from the wheels, and it will need to be charged often.

So, the motor is pre charged, and then runs down slowly and efficiently as the construction of the car will allow.

if china finds out about this there will millions of these mass produced in a matter of months...

That device is not "Anti-Gravity". It was done on MythBusters actually. Basically it came down to something to the effect that the device was ionizing the air creating wind which gave it lift.

Still really neat though.

also the device gives thrust in oil i mean when the capacitors are surrounded by nothing but oil it still gives thrust so its anti gravity not wind thrust

even do it also gives off a bit of wind .........but almost nothing they did smoke tests to show how much wind comes off

and not enough wind comes off to provide any real thrust

You asked how it works, let me tell you.

When I was in college, one of the things that we learned about was Electro Magnetic Forces. I dreamed up one of these “magnetic motors” myself, and built a prototype not unlike the version that GM has built and posted a video about on You tube.

The key is to overcome the resistance by a power of ten, a very common theme in electronics.
I began by buying rare earth cobalt magnets, as they have a push-pull magnetic force of up to two hundred pounds.
In my original design I populated a wheel with these magnets at a 10-degree incline, to push the wheel around, when a magnet of the same polarity was to come against the polarity of the magnets on the wheel.

I immediately found the wheel would spin, without any manual assistance. However, the next step was to place the outer ring of magnets on a cam movement so that a certain percentage of the outer ring would be in position, pushing away the inner ring on the wheel. Like a cam that moves valves into and out of position on any motor, this cam would move the outer ring and power the wheel to greater speeds.

I originally connected the wheels sprocket to the sprocket of the generator with a chain drive, but I see that the GM version is using a rubber-timing belt, and this may indeed be a superior way to connect the two.
That in a nutshell is how a perpetual magnetic dynamo, or “magnetic motor” will operate.

It’s funny, but I built my prototype in 1990, and I have talked to people about it since the 80’s but no one believed that it would work and invest in this machine, but now that gas has gone so high, seems like everyone wants one, but some how they don’t seem to be going on the market.
